Had to take the dog back to the vets yesterday, nothing to do with the blood cell problems she had in the summer but a torn dew claw. She is on antibiotics and the paw is bandaged, vet is hoping it will grow back on it's own. Another £65 gone though, and if she needs the claw removing that will mean an operation...

Hope poor dog gets better soon. Great news on almost breaking the £100,000 barrier.
Hope work life balance gets better and you are less stressed.

Hope the work stress is reducing and the future is clearer. Well done om the mortgage, it is a brilliant milestone once you hit 5 figures.

Thanks Cath - mortgage reduction really seems slow going but I guess it's all inthe right direction. Work is not great but I"m not going to discuss it for a bit or it will set me off again.

Hi Cookie- dog has been signed off by vets again so is now in rude health. Hopefully won't be back to vets again in near future.

No money news really, finally able to re-list the phone the buyer never paid for on £b@y - so fingers crossed that sells this time. Still chasing up the refund from P@yp@l as they still took their commision payment.

Got a refund from BG as we were in credit so thats gone into savings. Bought some theatre tickets as a surprise Christmas present for DS - used cash back site, and relieved to be making progress (albeit slow) with Christmas shopping.

Pay day for me today and I am delighted that I had nearly £400 leftover in my current account - transferred total of £800 to slush fund. The high surplus is due to not using my credit card too much.

Few spends coming up, haven't bought many Crimbo presents yet and my car needs a service.

On the subject of cars DH wants to kick off the hunt for my new one tomorrow so we'll go and have a meander while DS is at his club. Intend to buy in December as DH says this is a good time to get a deal as car sales aren't high - that is logical to me.

LuckyinLife - Slush Fund is £2,575, I typically use it to pay for one off bills (car stuff, annual insurance, DS clubs etc) but am trying really hard to build it up right now. If I do end up taking redundancy I'd like to get as much as possible in there.
