Thanks for comments- more complications and confusion in my mind.

Boss has sat on my application (as I was emotional and she wanted to be sure it was what I wanted etc) - she then dropped the bomb shell she had just put in for VR herself and suggested I take a few days to think over what I want to do and that it might be best to wait until officially put at risk.

Am in a bit of a dither, and DH is away this weekend so no chance to talk it through.

This was why I spoke to her about this on my first day back when my head was clear etc. Now I'm back in the hamster wheel and have clouded judgement.

    ARGH!!!

    Now having eb@y trouble !!!

Sold the iph0ne last Sunday, brand new user who is now uncontactable and hasn't paid  Tried to offer it in the 2nd chance thing but keep getting an error message about exceeding a £ threshold. Think I've managed to raise a non payment issue which is the only thing I seemed to be able to do to reflect the fact this user hasn't paid.

So no money yet and I may well end up having to re-list it! :(
  • Still not sorted out the 1ph0ne issue - may have to get DH to help me as he is a lot more logical about these things than I am.

Stepped income reserve I have for DS has just matured after 5 years, am not sure what to the do with the money now but I need to sort it out as I'm sure it's getting diddly squat interest right now.

Am also dithering big time over the VR issue - as things stand I need to submit a formal application myself so nothing has been set in motion. I am so having second thoughts - walking away from employment to nothing is so hard. So all that is whirring round my head right now and being risk averse I may well take the line of least resistance. I think bottom line is I want them to put me at risk then I think I will apply - just wary of making a speculative application - so so difficult. Need to stop filling up my diary with all this I think - even I'm getting sick of it and it's my life! :rotfl:

Pushkin - sorry you're having to cope with all of this without OH. I imagine your head is a bit fuzzy right now and it's so hard to make such a big decision. Is it worth starting to look at jobs and practising a few applications so you're ready when the time is right to take redundancy?

Also sorry to hear about the phone. How frustrating!!

Hope the next few days are kinder to you.

Good luck with your decision whatever you decide..

Good advice from amy, if you look around at a few jobs now then at least you'll be more informed at salaries/prospects.
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Not got much mojo for money or anything at the moment.

Not feeling myself, had Friday off sick, getting bad headaches and really, really tired, not sure if I'll work tomorrow - trouble is longer I'm off for harder it is to go back. Had to cancel 3 meetings Friday and have more tomorrow so it will all stack up.

On the plus side haven't spent any money at all since Wednesday.

Back to work today, am not going to waffle on but I submitted an email to HR this afternoon to ask if I am eligible for VR and what my £ entitlement would be.

One day back and the negative feelings re-emerge.

No money news, no spending either though :D

Got my knickers in a big twist with eB@y - buyer didn't pay for the 1ph0ne - can't seem to relist it so raised an issue in their resolution centre no news on that but I've just had an invoice for the month for £38. Don't want to be paying that since I've not sold the damn item! Hopefully will hear from the resolution centre soon.

Still need to sort out the money for DS - stepped income reserve has matured and I need to find a new home for it - is currently earning diddly squat.

    C'est le weekend :j

No money news, pay day today, had £200 left in current account from last month so transferred that to slush fund along with another £200 & some tilly tidies so feeling in control of that (for now!). Building up slush fund again after the pounding it took over the summer.

DH car insurance to pay for and getting dosh together for Christmas presents.

Hard week at work, in some ways feel gung ho and am being quite hard and acerbic on conf calls but am working long hours and sleeping badly so must be stressed even if only sub consciously.

Not much planned over the weekend but main wish is to sleep and relax - blimey I really do sound old before my time!

Haven't been on here for a while. Usual additions to savings done yesterday as it was the first. Will post updated figures over the weekend.

Work seems to be getting worse or rather my reactions to it are.
