Today i set off in full money saving mode to get my peepers tested.

Armed with a voucher for free eye test:money: Merci Martin.

Checked online what i could and couldn't get should i need new specs:money:

    Then had a wee bombshell.

As you may know i have had problems with vision due to Menieres..I also had neck cramp from holding head funny ( yes imagine a lopsided BOB weebling along:rotfl:) I also noticed that evenings had become a problem when driving; focusing on faces on TV was also a problem-despite larger screen TV ( Freebie from techie brother who likes to upgrade:D)

It turns out i have the beginnings of a small cataract in my right eye:eek: So needed extra stuff on my glasses to help, such as anti light stuff etc etc..

So bargain specs got the two for one offer ( i am not bothered about designer) and i picked up a cheapo £25 pair for car, but dearer lenses :o Multi large sigh, but grateful i went when i did and it was all thanks to a free eye test voucher linked from this site.:T:money:

I did a wee check online before and after-as you do, but could only beat by a few pounds and lets face it i paid for customer service ( i was impressed with care and attention..it takes a lot to impress me) which if i had ordered online would not really have been there.

Other shenanigans-I hear you ask? Well i also paid for passport renewal ( needed doing) Again grateful for savings which have stood me in good stead for car repairs, household repairs, a small frugal holiday and trips to see beautiful grand daughter...can i complain? Can i heck as like:D

Now to rebuild those savings and get cracking on Money saving. Amazon here i come ...obviously avoiding paid books and other essentials..:rotfl:

    Cantering forward.

    Bob xx

Specsavers have the two for one offer on and you can also get a free eye test with this voucher http://www.specsavers.co.uk/free-eye-test

Tesco stores also do one, but our nearest one with this offer was over 10 miles away.

    Hope it helps someone.

I am already falling into bad habits by not updating:p

I am equally guilty of that! Welcome back BOB  - although I have to say that I have been somewhat absent in recent months. It all started to fall apart when I changed jobs - coincidence?!
