Grocery Shopping:
Our Local Town has a lot of competition on the sooperstore front. Morr....being very well established had a major refurb and of course the new ( price match) cards have been introduced.
Currently i am on week 3 of the bonus offer for £10 off a shop-yet during that time... thanks to a bit of cunning use of said match card i have received vouchers off my shopSo for October i am running at £130 so far and we are nearly at the end of the month. This includes a family visit and i can honestly say batch cooking and cooking from scratch has saved me a fortune.
Gas and Electricity are still an ongoing battle-currently onto Ofgem about them.
Have managed a new Sky deal as well ( i thought i may have run out of favours by now..and even better DS is paying for it as i wasn't interested ) So essentially free TV for letting him have use of the planner.
Currently trying to build the savings pot again and i am cashing in my sealed tins to do this. I am excited to see how much this is.
Work going slowly so not much to report there-i may seriously have to think of alternatives at this rate. I wanted a life/work balance and i seem to be stressing myself out a lot ( health hasn't helped) So i do need a rethink.
That is it for the moment. Will update on other gubbins later.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hello!
I've just found your diary, and want to add a comment, as I also have Meniere's.
I've written about it on my diary on MFW, basically I started having tinnitus, hearing loss and vertigo around about April time.
However, I've been free from vertigo since 1st August, my hearing is back up again, and my tinnitus is at very low levels. I'm not on any medication - a low sodium diet and my attempts to reduce stress seem to be helping.
Sorry to hear you've had vertigo recently. Out of all the symptoms, the vertigo is the worst.Early retired - 18th December 2014

I will have a look Golden Girl. A few on MSE have had it and suffered a bit. I must admit i do my best to cut down on salt by cooking from scratch, but it surprising where it is hidden.
I cleared it quickly this time, but am struggling with light in the evening again-it will take some adjustment but am persevering with it all.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
