Everything is bobbing along nicely, one student leaves tomorrow, the kids are enjoying their school holiday and I'm doing nicely with MB. Really hope to be able to add to my savings pot soon, I have a few items I'd like to buy to replace the clapped out things (Apple laptop and a American style fridge/freezer) I cleaned my fridge yesterday and noticed black mold all down the sides and inside in the corners. This things on its way out, it's about 13 years old, I paid £20 for it as a temp measure 6 years ago and there's a constant pool of water at the bottom to the fridge inside and the freezer leaks water on the floor. Desperate for a new one but thought I would hold off until I buy a house. The laptop I will get when my friend goes to America, he's there now so it'll be another 4-6 months when he goes again.
Heading to ikea in a few weeks for office things, I haven't been in about 10 years as its 100 odd miles away. We do have one being built in Exeter but it won't be open until next year. I'm planning on turning my diningbroom (that's too small for a table!) into a office/craft area. I've bought a white board from Amazon and I need a desk/shelving/storage from ikea. Looking forward to it- I love ikea!£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
Hi everyone!
5 more days until my student leaves- yay! I get paid tomorrow for my students last week but it'll go straight into my sisters fund.
Its been hoofing it down here for most of the day so I spent a few hours MBing whilst the kids entertained themselves. This afternoon we popped to £Land and I found what I have been after for ages- stackable crates! I know, dull, but they are the perfect size for under the sink and my utility room shelves so I look forward to organisingI offered the kids £1 each and they picked up a bag of marbles and a gymnasts ribbon. This afternoon has been glorious so my DD has been outside practicing with the ribbon(and even put on a show for me!) and DS has been perfecting his marble skills. We had a good laugh playing marbles together down the garden path and it reminded me of playing with my siblings when I was a primary littlie.
Oh, and I bought myself a little tipple today and was asked for IDIm touching 30! The cashier did a double take when DS joined me at the checkout and asked me he was my son, I nodded and she replied "What were you, like, 12 when you had him?!"
(Not far off)

Hi All! Ive been hard at work making money and Im finally making tracks. The money above doesnt include any MBing profits as Im still keeping those separate (took some big losses so trying to build the pot back up) I did go to Ikea and spent £200 on kitting out my office with desk/chair/large unit/accessories and also bought a few bit for the house and a unit for my DDs room. I was very impressed to do it all at £200! That came out of my MBing profits so I havent had to dip into my savings.
I gave my sister £800 last month to help with uni so had I saved that instead, my total would have been much higher. I have a week of students next week and they are my last ever- Im even selling the bunk beds to make sure I don't have any more!
I need to do the finances for this month and hoping to do a car boot possibly this weekend- the stuff is taking over my house!! I've been streamlining my home and have gone through cupboards/drawers/underbeds and got rid of anything I dont need/want/use. Its just collecting dust, cluttering up my home and I'd rather have the money! It'll also make moving easier when the time comes.
Hope you are all well and those on the MB journey with me- how are you getting on?£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
Not so good on the big loses on MB, I have no luck on the bingo and casino offers, quite scary how much you could actually lose if you were into gambling. My MB is going quite well, slowly building up, just trying to get my head around the more complicated offers now :-)0

I have visited here regularly and write big update and everytime I do, the damn thing doesn't save and I lose it! Its happened 3 times now and it's take me so long to write it that I get a bit huffy and close the laptop down
So I have been around. Anyway, I'll write a proper update now....

£7581 personal savings
£3211 Matched Betting.
I finally hit £3k in MB so everything I make now is all mineFree bets are coming in thick and fast from the weekend so I'll be upping that total again very soon!
Money making is going ok, progress has slowed a little as work is quiet but Im doing ok. I havent found any good coupons, glitches, vouchers or much else to boost savings, although I did buy a toothbrush in Adsa for £30 two weeks ago and sold it on eBay for £81.99!Thats classed as 'work' and only added to my funds at the end of each month. Everything else has been a bit slow. There are a few jobs around today but the weather isnt great so Im waiting for the rain to subside and I'll head out. I did miss out on £50 on friday as my darling son decided to fracture his collarbone so 6 hours was spent in A&E. Silver lining- I have a personal accident plan so if all goes well, he may get a little payout that I'll stash away in his account until hes older. If I tell him before, he may make a habit of breaking bones...

£3k in matched betting. Blimey. Well done.

is that £3k profit?!! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you start off with? and do you use PA? I'm unsure if it's worth the money or notDebt Paid - £0/£7240

Yes, £3k profit. I started with £100 but upped it to £400 as I kept winning in the bookies. As soon as the withdrawals hit my account I replaced the £400. Use PA and its deffo worth it.£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0
