Im a bit of a pushover :o Its on a credit card so it doesn't bother me as its not mine as such. I lent it to him to buy xmas presents 2 years ago and we also went to london for NYE so his half of the expenses are on there. He doesnt even pay the monthly repayments, I do! I've hinted many times and sometimes feel confident enough to ask for it outright but he hasn't got a job at the moment (but has gone on numerous holidays and trips abroad since using my card) so I think hes taking my kindness for weakness. If I dont start to put some serious pressure on him, I wont get a penny back for the next 3 years as hes going to Uni with the pressure of needing to find £15k a year...as it stands, I still bought my own xmas present that year! :D

My sig is annoying me too, I'll update at the end of the month when I pay myself :D

Quite right Bugslet :D My only reservation is that the owner is a friend and I find it really awkward asking for money. My good friend owes me £570 from 2 years ago and still hasn't paid back a penny, despite me asking(which gets harder every time I do!), but thats another story :D

Miss Luv, please take a front row seat in Lady Lets, How to Approach Things Fairly but Firmly, class.

    1. The money that is owed for the student. This is business, you aren't asking your friend as such, you are asking a business. Next time you speak, just casually mention that you think they may have forgotten they owe you £42.00. They will have taken it from the student along with their fee.

    2. If they've been on holiday, they have money. Holiday's are optional despite people thinking they are essential. (Since '91, I have had three one week holidays and we shut down at Xmas). So they have that £570.00 but they have chosen not to give it to you. If they were brassic and trying to raid skips to eat, I'd be sympathetic, but at the moment they are taking the proverbial. Secondly, if someone lent me £570.00, I'd be eating beans on toast until I had paid it back - heck I hate owing a pound!

Seriously, you are a businesswoman now, woman up!:p

    Here endeth the lesson:D.

Bugslet that was a good post. I agree but it is scary asking people for money. I still think you should you deserve it. Think of your £7000 petal.

Bugslet- email sent to the school asking for the extra and a polite word was had with friend, no further on with that as he really doesnt have any money. But I did ask for a regular payment to be set up as of next month to start clearing the debt...he didnt like that much! :D Thanks, my little Lady Bug :D

£129.85 from my travelling jobs, still over £100 let to be approved! Cant add it to my total yet as it makes up part of my wages at the end of the month so it's in a separate account until then. When it is all added, I'll be way over £7k :D

So I've taken the plunge and get myself into Matched Betting. I dont find the forum on here to be particularly helpful as i've read it numerous times over the years and it didnt click, I used another site and got it straight away and its really not that difficult! Im doing well so far, about £250 in profit in 4 days :D i wont add any money to this challenge as I need a pretty big float of £3k so any profit will be saved into that. It might be a while until I add any money made from that :D:D

Hope you are all well, any plans for making money this week? I need inspiration!

Nat, can you post a link or send me a PM?

I've done the same as you, looked at the forum and not made head nor tail of it, but also read of people that have made serious money every month on it.

All I'm doing is losing money at the moment, mostly trying to get from France to the UK, either striking Frenchman or migrants damaging the trailers.

    Ta, Lady Bugs:p

    Woah, a hectic few days!

I was given 3 hours notice that I would be given an emergency placement (student) as the host family was already hosting 4 girls from another school. So my lovely spanish boy arrived on monday evening so its been a bit manic.

My boy has finished primary school today so it was tears all round, I remember my last day at primary, I was the last year 7's to leave primary, now its yr 6's.

Also, £38 in the pipeline from field agent, £56ish from the jobs (finally payed out after a stern email! :D) £10 cheque for testing a foundation (it was crap!) free yogurts from waitrose x3, and a few other little earners. Looking forward to updating soon!

MB is going very well, I appreciate most of it is down to luck but Ive made £872 profit in 7 days :o Im not counting it as I need a nice float so it'll just grow steadily...

Hope you are all well and Im sorry this is a bit rushed, Im very tired and my friend is nagging me to help her with her wedding list :(
