I absolutely love reading your diary! It's so motivating
How are you enjoying MB? Could you pm me the site that you found please? I'm not loving the MB thread on this as it still makes no sense to me :rotfl:

End of month update!
£6800.18
Its £19 less than last month but if you consider that I paid £500 off to start matched betting and now im only £19 away from where I started, I think Im doing pretty good.
Its coming up to my diary's 1st birthday! The saddest part is that Im no further along than when I started, yes I've been on hols and paid out for a few things, but the deposit fund is no bigger (which is the whole point of the diary!) So this month is going to be a bumper month! Im at £1470 profit with matched betting so in 2 weeks i would hope to be nearer the £3k mark so my pot is big enough that I can start saving the profit. Very exciting
I'm halfway through my students and I absolutely promise that this is the last, I just cant deal with them! They are lovely boys but Im fed up of strangers in my home and I want to make my dining room into an office and close it off with a curtain for MBingIts an open plan L shape room shared with the living room. The dining room is too small for my 6ft farmhouse table so its a drying/computer/filing room with no purpose. The table is in my living room as its huge and the french doors open to the garden so lovely to have dinner looking out. i was thinking of closing off the DR with a nice curtain or something so I can have a big white board and write figures up that noone else needs to see. I can hide the piles of laundry in there too (because there's not enough of them in the utility room!
)
I need to get back in the habit of doing daily updates, even just little ones. I've made quite a bit from different sources this past month and it'd be nice to write it all down. Talking of which, I paid myself £600 today, which was nice. This covers my MB start up and some money I'm lending my sister for when she starts uni (again) in September. She needs around £800 and I would rather put it aside than take it from my savings so £200 is stashed away in an account that I'll add to later.£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
Hi nat,
Would you mind passing on the link for the matched betting? I've dabbled before but the bit i don't get is how to make a profit after the free bonuses from the betting sites are used up, id be really interested in getting into it and understanding it more, especially with the premier league starting next week
I have followed your diary for a while now and have always been in awe of your money saving skills, you may think you are no further forward but the important thing is that you are still here... and no further backwards.Mortgage Feb 2023- £249,210 MFW 2023 #20: £524.05/£500 (104.81%)0 -

£270 for the students but Ive put it straight into the pot for my sister. Only £230 away from £800 so I should be able to save that fairly easily in the next week or two so the rest of the month(and money) is mine.

£20 Amazon vouchers for a survey
Today has been a good day so far; Amazon vouchers arrived and added to my account, I've been invited to join 2 home test trials (that arrived today!) and MBing is coming along nicely.
So, the home trials are for baby wipes (a pack delivered) and some self tan with exfoliator, tanning mousse, moisturiser and mitt. I thought it'd be for loreal/garnier but oh no, its only St. Tr0pe$! Very pleased indeed, its smells divine! This stuff costs a fortune and i was thinking about getting some for a wedding i have coming up, very happy indeed
Both my student are supposed to be leaving on sunday (:j) but the accoms officer sent me the wrong details for the russian, turns out he leaves next saturday! its a good job im not going on holiday, I'd be snookered!
I've been binge watching organising and de-cluttering videos on the tube of you and I've got the bug. I did the whole of the utility room, which took a day, and it looks great now. Everything is in plastic bins on the shelves with labels and colour co-ordinated. Its really odd but by doing just that room, i feel more settled and calm. I've started on the kitched, just doing one draw at a time and purging anything that I really dont need. Since Ive been vegan, I have never used the grill pan thing (i've even forgotten the name!) the wok or anything meat related...so why keep it? I've donated loads and thrown a heck of a lot out...I can now shut my kitchen drawers!When the students have gone, I'll make a start on my room and wardrobe, that an all weekend job!
