I had a bit of a win with ebay; I bought 2 electric toothbrushes from asda that were yellow stickered at £9 each, I did a quick ebay search and they were selling at £30 each! So I bought them both but the SA put them through the till at £4.50 each (I have no idea why!) and I've sold them both within an hour of listing for £25 profit each :)

£751 to go until the big £10k! :D

    Im back!!

I fell off the wagon; things needed fixing, birthday parties and general spending has seen me stay in more or less the same position. Self employedness is going well so far, books are being kept ok and im keeping on top of it.

So, heres my accounts so far:

    £9213.57

Not as bad as I thought but needs to be much better. Im struggling to save anything as I dont want to pay myself from my earnings and get caught short. Waiting on a few income streams to be finalised and then I can start organising the finances properly.

Good news about the first time buyers ISA in the Budget yeterday, £3000 of free money is not to be sniffed at! I really need to buy before Dec 2016 as thats the last month of the Help To Buy scheme- the government will give me £30k towards the deposit and I need all the help I can get! Just hope they are willing to lend to me as self employed person.

Hope you are all well? :D

There seems to be a theme on this thread but it really is true this time...

    Im back!!

So a quick update; Ive just come back from a hugly expensive vacation with DS to Florida (reward to getting into Grammar school) and I can finally save money. I dont know whats happened to me, this is the longest I have ever been away from MSE in the 4.5 years Ive been a member and for some reason I was dreading posting again. I think its because I have to accept how much Ive spent, I know the figure but I dont know my remaining balance. Tomorrow I will sit down and work it all out, today is my 'egging myself on' day. I have half a year to get back to where I was and more, I can do this!

If anyone is still around, I do hope you are all well and life has been treating you kind. Dont be a stranger :)

    Hello ladies!

Florida was fun but it didn't feel like a holiday. Probably because I still had to be mum so never really switched off from that, couldn't just relax by the pool as I was supervising DS, was constantly being nagged for food and I was very aware of how much I was spending. I get to do it all over again in 6 years with DD! 😀 you'll love it SugarPlum, it was a lot of fun but this jet lag is killing me! :p

A good day shopping yesterday and picked up a few seeds and compost for the garden. Im really not feeling great (jet lag *still* and a headache all night) so Ive been awake since midnight but out of bed since 5.30am. I tried my very best to sleep but it wasnt happening! So im going to spend today pottering around the garden, prepping some seeds ready for the allotment and getting some more free food :D

I still havent counted my money. Im dreading it but I will do it today. Also, Im going to list a couple more items on ebay, I have a Mystery shop to do not too far from home and a few little money makers to do on the way. I really hope this headache clears and tiredness keeps away!

See you all later with a financial update _pale_

OOh, I was kicked off Pinecone because I missed too many surveys but a quick email later and theyve added me back :D
