It sounds to me like we need to have a general GUAG hunt; mine's gone AWOL, too!

Many thanks to all who asked, Mr LW's wound check yesterday afternoon was fine; the nurse is happy that it's progressing nicely, and that he's keeping it properly cleaned; his next appointment is to speak with the Consultant again on 5th September, but he can call the clinic with questions in the meantime. In fact I believe he's going to do so some time today, to see how he should go on about starting driving again, and if there's any advice they can offer to make it all easier.

We have to get our regular meds tomorrow; but we've worked out how to do it. I'll drive to the surgery, and Mr LW will walk from the car to the surgery for the scripts, then I'll drive us into town :eek::eek: (I loathe driving in Central MK) and he'll walk from the car to S/drug for our meds. He's got a list of what's on order so that he can check the surgery has done it correctly.:o It's all tablets in packets, apart from a half-litre bottle of Oramorph, so it'll be easy enough for him to carry.

Piggers bites-begone vibes. I can't in all conscience nag you to visit the GP because I wouldn't go about the one at the base of my spine.

Question for our FlyLeaders: Does giving Jessie a game in the garden with her ball count as "me-time"? I have a real problem with me-time under normal circumstances, and even more so now, but giving Jessie her run-about is actually fun to do, even if I'm near collapse afterwards.:D

  • LW anything you love doing must be classable as me time.

I am wading my way through a whole punnet of grapes at the moment - that's my "me time" LOL!! Don't buy them often and these aren't quite as tasty as the last lot I had!!! Greedy girl!!!

Yes, Lamewolf, playing with Jessie does, if you'll agree that baking a batch of Twinks Hobnobs (basic recipe from frozen lumps) counts. Anything that feeds the soul, would be my argument.
    Better is good enough.

Thanks. That's my "me-time" sorted then.;) We've just had a lovely walkies, met two little black'n'white terriers and three dalmatians; Jessie was really good with all of them.:A The dalmatians barked at my mobility buggy, as they've not encountered those before!:D

I must admit, baking Twinks Hobnobs wouldn't do it for me, but then I actively dislike cooking/baking and only do it because I have to.:o

Winter coats sorted through.. I found a bag with some of OH's shoes in which he had forgotten about, shoes which contained the brand new pair of pink shoes Squeak wore once at about 18 months old... gggrrrr, ebay it is then!!

2 loads out on the line and 2 loads of coats washing. I have a binbag of coats for CS and 5 to go on ebay and one to go to DD1 for Spam. I need a new coat for Tiddles.. Moomin was NOT impressed that I have one in her size just for weekends, she has a school one for during the week.. so she will barely wear this one and I am NOT spending money I don't have to!! I need to sort a coat for DD3 I think.

Packaged a catalogue return and booked for tomorrow.

    Smalls fed
stairs barricaded before Pixie throws herself down them.. she has discovered climbing this week and is driving me crazy!

    Tesco shop to do now..

But isn't that the pont of 'Me time' Lamewolf - it's something self-indulgent? I feel all virtuous because OH loves T's H'nobs and practically squeals with delight when he finds some in the tin (and has the vapours when it's empty), I love love love doing something simple that gives him so much pleasure and the smell of them baking is one of my favourite smells - alongside bread baking, which I'm also doing.

I'm also trying to psyche myself up to make the kitchen all sparkly. That bit isn't working quite so well.

    Hi all!

LW - glad to hear Mr LW is doing well x

I feel like I have achieved something this week, though not as much as I'd have liked. I have built the base part of the new ratty cage and have collected the parts for the first 'storey' from Dad's so need to do that today.

I also sorted the ottoman in the front room as well as a few hotspots and a box of paperwork resulting in a bag of rubbish, some stuff for the CS, papers for recycling, a small pile of shredding and a much smaller box of paperwork for filing :D

Yesterday evening, I also rejoined SW after 15 months away! I am now on a mission to stick to it this time and get to target (which will take a loooonnnnggg time) :o

Ok, lets look at this list ..............

    Monday - Kitchen

    15 minutes...

    Vacuum the floor

    30 minutes to spare..
    Clear and wipe the worksurfaces
Clean the sink and slush the drain out

    Got an hour...
Give the hob a good wipe and the oven door a clean too

    Tuesday - Living Room

    30 minutes to spare...

    Hoover the floors
    Dust electricals, screens etc

    Got an hour...
    Hoover/wipe the sofas
    Wipe the skirtings/lightshades and bulbs

Wednesday - Bathroom / Hall, Stairs, Landing

    15 minutes...

    Clean the toilet and sink

    Got 30 minutes to spare...
    ME TIME

    Have an hour...
Clear the floors and hoover and mop them, right into the manky corners
Clean the bath and/or shower - descale the head if required
    Shine those mirrors and windows

    Extra mission:
    Clean ratty cage

    Afternoon all

Been to my new gardening job, lots to do but a lovely garden whereas my other garden is a boring garden. Extra money will be very nice.

Lunch scoffed so I'll just put the washing on the line, have a cuppa then head over to my mothers.

Ionafan glad to see that DH seems cheerier and up too doing more.

LW anything you want to count as me time is fine, it's your time
