Any good baby name apps?

Our strategy was thus:
1) find out sex (halve the arguments!)
2) buy 1 book which included welsh names
3) pregnant one go through book and make list of liked names
4) discard any non-welsh DH couldn't pronounce
5) DH cross out any not liked
We ended up with a short list of about 12 names we both liked. She was handed to DH after she was delivered and he chose 2 names for her.
Job done.
Why you'd need books (plural) or apps is beyond me!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I don't think any lads would like the last three, though.
Ok, these are uni sex but I can't say I've ever known a man called any but les. Recent names I meant. And max, if that's your name, it's not chavvy - but I've never heard of a girl called Max.0 -
Yes, there are kids called Pocahontas and Armani in my neck of the woods.
Armani's sister is also called after a fashion brand - Versace, I think, though I may have misremembered and perhaps she is Chanel. If she is Versace.
Do you live near Glasgow/airdrie? A friend of mine worked in a kids play centre and said there were kids called Versace and Pocahontas that came in regularly. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

I have a (male) friend called Allison. I think he's quite proud of it.
One thing I am pleased about is that using apps/books or whatever to research names should result in correct spelling.
I was reading the results of baby competition in a local paper yesterday, some amazing spellings of names in there!0 -

Jocelyn is one of my favourite names, boy or girl.
I have also known a female Peter.
Of course some need so little change they are almost unisex. Francis/es. Grabriel/Gabrielle type things.0
