    Sixth Anniversary
I received this notice from G24 on 1st April alleging to an offence on 05/12/2015.

At first, thought it was April 1st Joke.

I was at Grand Junction Retail Park on 5/12/15.
We were there from approx 3 - 7 pm.

We are pensioners and in proceeds of receiving disabled badge.

We visited various stores, spent approx. £500, and got prices on a suite.
We moved my vehicle 6 or 7 times to load goods into my vehicle from the various shops we visited.

No way could we have completed our shopping in less time.

There were no ticket machines, or signs about payment, within the car parking areas, so we ended having some food there.

I cant believe what they are expecting me to pay.

It is really unfair !!!! Is it legal ? ?

They are asking for £85 parking charge...

On trying on line to appeal, says it too late to appeal.

Can pay £51 if paid with 28 days of offence.

    Only just received this notice,

Any constructive views/ideas would be helpful.

Hi, Just wondering if someone can help me? I received a parking ticket from Excel Parking which is a private parking company, I contested the parking ticket as the parking bays were unclear, now 2 years on I have now received a letter from a debt agency debt recovery plus ltd. I have heard that these can be ignored as they have no power to take action, has anyone had any similar circumstance? thanks

Tens of thousands! You heard correct! Further information in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky post #4. Please read that. There's no more we can advise beyond that which is contained in the sticky.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I paid £18 to Private Parking Appeals because, to be honest I couldn't face going through the appeal myself. I got an aknowledgement from them on 1 august but now I've had a payment charge for the full amount of £70 and can't contact Private Parking Appeals because of course it's bank holiday weekend

Why ask here - this thread is for discussing the article linked in the OP?

That poster has been here since 2004, longer than both of us put together..!
  • Hi
This is my first post so please advise if I am doing it wrong:)
My daughter has just received a demand for payment for an unpaid parking charge of £155.00!!!!
The demand is from DRP Ltd on behalf of MATALAN.
It appears to be a charge for an over stay. She had a valid parking ticket on her car, and when she returned to her car there was no evidence of a penalty notice. Up to this point she has received no letters or correspondence from MATALAN. The demand states that she has ignored letters for payment and MATALAN have now referred this to them. As she has not received anything from either company she was unaware that she owed anything. If she had known that she had overstayed the allotted time on her ticket she would have paid the overcharge, which would not have been the £155.00 mentioned above.
If any one can give us some advise on how to proceed it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mike (DAD)
