NEWBIES - HOW TO UPLOAD LINKS TO PHOTOS/SCANS TO MSE

To upload a photo/scan link, you first need to host it on a free photo hosting site (like Dropbox, Imurg or Tinypic), copy the URL, paste it here, but change the http to hxxp and we'll do the conversion. Newbies can't directly upload links to photos/scans until they've a few posts under their belt.

I need some advice.  I parked at a railway station carpark while travelling for work.  I came back and was going to pay at the paystation but noticed that payment could be made by an App. Therefore I decided to download the app and I put in my card details and ticked the box for auto payment.  I thought that might save me time in the future.  
I thought that was sufficient but then realised I needed an invoice for my expenses.  I emailed the parking company to ask for the invoice only to be told that I didn't pay and a parking charge notice was being issued and I was basically being fined for non payment. I wrote back to appeal as I did try to pay and was certain that it had been paid. I then looked on the app and the tick from the auto payment is gone. I definitely ticked that box. Anyway they refused my appeal and I wrote to their appeals address they gave me and I've now had a letter rejecting that and saying my charge is now £100 or they will send bailiffs. 
On principle I do not believe I should pay and all along my card details are on the app.. they can take the £20 parking fee any time they wish but they are not interested in that. I feel they are trying to bully me into payment of their "fine".
This is one of the first named parking companies on the list at the beginning of this forum thread.  What can I do?

Follow the advice therein. Then start a new thread of your own for specific advice that isn't already shown in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, this is an ancient thread, started almost 7 years ago.
