I'll be with you Valli. Good-oh, that gives me another 21 mins of not doing anything. I cannot tell a lie, I hate housework.
    Better is good enough.

    My list for today:
[STRIKE]- strip and wash bedding as soon as DH sets foot out of bed
    - get more paint
    - paint[/STRIKE] - shed and garage doors have been glossed and look good :)
    - finish decluttering study - WIP
    - make up another resource box
    - HHI (including curtain hems) if my shoulder will take it - not sure if it will, but giving it a rest now;)
    - craft evening with the Old Wives, so I shan't have to watch any of DH's preferred TV: last night's Genghis Khan was the stuff of nightmares

DH is making scrambled egg for lunch :A He has done a bit more to his railway layout :A

    Glad you're OK, Honey Bear.

thanks froddington, I'm very upset about it all. I used to have everything on my laptop and the HDD was a backup as well as being attached to the network so I could listen to stuff on any PC/internet radio, which was really handy. Then my old lappy died about 12 months ago and I never got around to copying stuff from the HDD onto my new one. Lesson learned, keep two of everything!

Kitchen has been gutted, all the bins have been emptied apart from the kids rooms as DSD and DSS are still in bed, again.

Bathroom has been scrubbed, shower curtains are having a bleachy soak and will be chucked into the WM presently. Tbh they're getting very tired and despite a strong bleach solution the hems aren't coming clean anymore, but I'm struggling to find replacements that are cream rather than white; I've looked at JL, House of Fraser, Debenhams, Tesco, Sainsbobs, Primark… Any other ideas, ladies? I prefer them to have built in hooks rather than having to use separate ones.

Lounge is tidy, airer is empty and there isn't a full load of clothes to wash. I have about 6 items to iron but it hardly seems worth breaking out the board for it.

I'm going to have a look for the music DVDs which *should* be in the sideboard...

Note to self: If you leave housework for nearly three weeks it takes 30 minutes to wash the bits of the kitchen floor that show and dy$on my office and the landing. *eugh*

I'm cracking on, now that you've got me started Valli. I'm going to give the whole place the once over and have done with it for the week. It'll take the rest of the day but now that I've got going, it'll be okay. Thanks m'dear!

I'm going to post this here, but I should probably join one of the other threads if this is going to be a regular occurance. Found a slightly raised itchy mole on my forearm very near the site of the maddening bites over the weekend. Tried several times to get through to the GP's surgery this morning, and finally managed to at about 9.15, to be told that the receptionist couldn't give me an appointment, and a doctor would ring me back. Rather amazingly, one did within 10 minutes and gave me an appointment for 50 minutes later. He gave me a masterclass on why it wasn't one to worry about, to expect more probably on my back now that I am middle-aged (! Tru, dat) and what to look for in the future. I am very, very grateful to the NHS and my GP's surgery today. :T

I'd be very interested in a masterclass - I went in the past about my moles but was told there was nothing wrong with them but not the reason why. I have a couple now that seem to have changed and were very itchy a couple of weeks ago but I didn't feel I should go back to the doctors as obviously as far as they are concerned they have already told me there is nothing wrong. But given that doctors can and do make mistakes I think you are very lucky that they have explained to you why they don't believe you have anything to worry about. Would you be able to share the masterclass with the rest of us, please, or would it be too difficult without being face to face?

We had the same problem with my mom's computer and it had photos on it etc. We were able to get the hard drive out and sent it off to Ireland and they saved what they could and put it on to DVD's. This was years ago and cost £250!! It might be worth checking to see what the price is like nowadays just in case it is cheaper than replacing all the music?
