Very nice on the 0% financing!
Did you get that through the dealer?

Hi Hidden - yes it was through the dealer0

Evening
I'm sitting in my newly LED lit loungeThe bulbs arrived yesterday - super quick since I only ordered on Sunday. Love them. The ones for the bathroom arrived today too (which was a day earlier than estimated) and they are also fab.
I managed to get the debacle with the 'missing OP' sorted with the mortgage bank. Took 30 mins of being on hold though and then they had the cheek to ask me to complete a survey about the service. I declined rather than be rude (which is how I felt like being!). They have certainly reaffirmed my decision to move... roll on end of the month. As I was waiting for this to update correctly, I've not done my end of Feb figures yet. Will do them tomorrow now.
Feels like it's gonna be a loooong week. Hope everyone else is doing ok

Today has been a mixed bag on the weather front...sunshine, rain, hail, snow . Now it's just really cold. I'm firmly settled for the evening on the sofa with my pj's and woolly socks
I've updated my monthly figures and I'm pleased to report that I've knocked another 2 months off the mortgage :j I'm gonna to hold off with the OP's temporarily now... just until the mortgage has been moved (should be with effect 1st April) and will divert any extra money to my savings until then.0 -
Regularly knocking months off is huge! Great effort BW.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Thanks Cath - it's definitely reached the point now where everything seems to have more of a tangible effect
I was feeling so fed up and tired this week I decided to take today off work :j I had a bit of a lie in and then been for some retail therapy. Bought a few items of work clothing that I needed to replace, a couple of books and some new nail polish too. Also popped to Ikea to restock on batteries and light bulbs (their own brand ones are so cheap but last for ages). It's been so lovely to just not have to rush off anywhere and be able to suit myself with what I do and where I go. Quite a bit of the shopping has been using up gift vouchers so not too much 'actual money' spent either :T
I'm now happily sat on the sofa catching up on house programmes - bliss! Feels lovely knowing that I would normally be at work at this time0 -

That's a good way of counting down Hidden0

Good afternoon
I've just got off the phone from having a chat with my lovely Mum. I won't get to see her today but I sent a card and some flowers and it's only a couple of weeks til we will catch up in person.
I had a very lazy day yesterdayand spent it reading and watching films. As lovely as it was (and I do feel much refreshed mentally), it meant that I've had all my house jobs to do this morning instead! I decided best way to deal with it was to get up early and blitz them..so I have.. and can now chill for the rest of the day.
Joint of pork is in the slow cooker...and the smell is making my mouth water... looking forward to having it later with some veggies and gravy
I've caught on surveys too and claimed a £10 voucher from CP this morning. Decided to have it for a DIY chain as I am going to put it towards some new door handles. I have wanted to change the ones upstairs for a while now but other stuff keeps getting in the way..so that will be my next 'house task' for this year.
No more news on the re-mortgage though I have checked the solicitors site and a couple more tasks have been ticked off..so things must be moving along (hope so!)
Oh almost forgot...I wanted to pick the brains of anyone who may pop in....I have been to the same hairdresser for almost 10 years but they are retiring and I have to find a new one. It's been so long since I looked for a new one - wasn't sure where to start. Does anyone have any tips for finding a new hairdresser?

Sounds like a productive weekend.
No advice on the hairdresser front, I avoid them like the plague as they always take off more than I want the to. Haven't had my hair cut since 2013 when I got BIL to chop off most of my hair so that I could donate it to charity. Should probably steel myself and go in for a trim, but it's finally getting back to the length I like...0
