  • Sounds like you've had a lovely and productive weekend BW. I'm very jealous of your tea - it sounds lush. I'm pleased to hear that you took a day off to have some 'you' time, hopefully it made the rest of the week a bit easier. No tips on the hairdresser I'm afraid, mine moved and I followed her (not in a stalkerish way :rotfl:).

Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening.

    :j for the weekend!!

Goodness it seems to have been a loooong week. Work has been mad and I've been too worn out to spend time online in the evenings. Must rectify that ;) I'm counting the days til the Easter break - looking forward to a lovely long weekend

Still no OP's here as waiting for re-mortgage to go through. The online tracker with the conveyancer shows that we are 8/12 tasks completed - so it's moving.

Also no news on the car yet. I feel like it's a month of waiting and that's definitely testing my patience... as that's not my strong point!

I've claimed a £15 survey payment today. The rewards site has changed so couldn't get usual option...so decided on a retailer that sells clothes/home/food so I can at least get best use of the vouchers.

Need to get more :coffee: and have a catch up on some diairies

    BW x

I've had a phonecall this afternoon about the car. I sign registration paperwork on Monday and can pick it up on Friday :T

Been a productive afternoon on the money/admin front:
    • SO for regular OP to current mortgage cancelled (will be reinstated to new provider once moved)
    • Energy tariff changed so saving at least £12 per month (will possibly be more)
    • Paperwork found for current service plan in readiness for cancellation next week
Also popped out for a mooch round the local garden centre. The weather was lovely and there was a farmers market on site too. Had a lovely wander round sampling various food and drinks. Purchased a couple of the tastier ones to bring home :p

Great news about the car.re: hairdresser, ask friends for recommendations. I have tried a few over last 3 or 4 years and have finally found a brilliant one!

    Thanks Cath :)

Re: hairdressers. I have tried asking around but I find that people either don't use them, use ones that are local to them (and so too far from me) or go to uber expensive places. It will be a mini project of mine for a while yet me thinks

    Good Morning

Kept having dreams about cars last night... no idea why... :rotfl:

Lovely sunny day here again. I should be getting on with some house jobs but I'm quite content sitting in my office reading diairies and soaking up some warmth from the sun pouring through the window

Congrats on the car! :) I've only bought a brand new car once, but it is very nice having everything shiny and new.

After getting my chores done, I went out for a drive in the countryside. Went to find a little market town that I learnt about this week and had never heard of before. Gave me somewhere to aim for and once I arrived, I had a stroll up and down the high street and a lovely coffee and cake in a tearoom there. Really very pleasant way to spend a few hours :) The weather has felt very spring like indeed - hope it lasts - but I suspect it won't.
