    Well done on the bag.

A good bag is a thing of beauty, and will last and last.

I've got a couple of Radley bags, and they will serve me for years - they are investments:)

The new handbag sounds like a well deserved treat and you even balanced it out with an OP amd survey earnings. Glad to hear you are feeling better, that tired feeling that just won't go is really frustrating.

Way I look at these things - the more I wear or use something the better value it is - so £100 - wear twice thats £50, ten times thats £10 - you get the idea. Looking at it that way the bag will be fantastic value!

Pushkin, I do exactly the same thing! :D I'm sure I've got some things that are down to 1p ;)

Hope you're still enjoying your new handbag BW.

    Have a lovely weekend.

Thanks for stopping by Cath, Pushkin and MG :) Sorry I missed you all

It was a busy week on the work travel front and then I was also away for the weekend too

MG - The new handbag is still being enjoyed :D It went with me on last weeks travels and I even got a few compliments on it :T (it's quite an unusual colour)

I managed a few small Op's last week - £17.02 which was a combination of survey payments and some expenses back. Then of course there was the payday shuffle. Otherwise nothing much else to report on the money front.

As much as I love having my own house, I have to say I do miss being able to call a landlord to sort things out when things go wrong or to deal with maintenance issues. I find the dealing with tradesman a bit of a pita... that is assuming you can even find one to start with!

I thought I had a good plumber contact but the chap I have used for the last few years appears to have gone off the radar. He's not responding to any calls, texts or emails and so after several weeks, I've had to face up the the fact and look for someone else. I wouldn't mind if he said he doesn't want to do the work anymore...but find the no response quite frustrating.

Oh well... almost the weekend .... ;)

    Hi BookWorm

Just a thought on finding tradesmen. We have had a lot of work done and used Check a Trade which has been really successful for us. You may well do this already but thought I'd mention it. Good luck - and I do share your frustration with it.

Cheers Pushkin - nice to know I'm not alone in that! I have actually used C-a-T before. Thanks for the reminder

    Happy weekend :j

Is anyone else disappointed the first of the month is a Saturday so it means that some accounts won't update til Monday? :rotfl: On the plus side it will give me something to look forward to checking after work :p

No money news although I'm expecting some survey payments next week all being well.
I've also had a product test arrive today and it's an edible one - the best kind :D

The weather looks to be ok so far so maybe I can get out into the garden at some stage... not thinking of gardening but more sitting with a book and relaxing

Have a fab day whatever you are up to?

    BW :)

Well the weather didn't hold up it's end of the bargain so I have moved indoors and taken up residence on the sofa instead ;)

I've updated my monthly spreadsheet and pleased to report that another month has been knocked off the mortgage :T
