Also meant to say that I think £450 for a room is a lot.
Where I am would be lucky to get £250 in a five week month!
If I could get £450 I would be so happy!

Where I live is ridiculously expensive, buying or renting. Well I think it is! Back round where my mum lives, half a hour train ride away, for what I'm paying for a studio flat, you can get a 2 double bed house!

The city I'm in, likes to think it's bigger than it really is!

I'm quite happy with £450, as it includes all bills. Plus we had a big long chat about what sort of set up she's looking for, and I really feel like its definitely going to be more of a share than me just renting a room, in her flat, and feeling like I can only be in my room! She's looking for someone to really share with, cook some dinners together per week, chill in front of the t.v, and be a friend. Which is exactly what I want too....

And the saving to me is going to be at least £250 a month! And it's not permanent, but will given me a chance to pay back my mum, and live a little as well, and get some money saved for my long awaited holiday!

So I'm feeling pretty happy and relieved that I've finally made a decision on what I'm doing and how I'm handling things.

I had a bit of a tough time at work last week which didnt help my mood, but now I feel like this week has started off really well, and it's nice to feel like I'm moving forward once more :rotfl:

Great news, glad it all seemed to work out. Are you planning on having some sort of contract?
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500

We did talk about that, you can buy them from WHSmith I think...

I dont want to move myself in and then 4 weeks later she boots me out, and the from her point of view she wouldnt want me moving in and then just moving out with no word of warning. We spoke about minimum she wants someone to rent for, and how long I'm looking to rent for, which pretty much matched up.

Do you know if you can download, a legally binding contract on the internet? Saves us some money then!

You have to agree to their tems and conditions, but worth a start. I searched for free & tenancy agreement

The only downside is that, as its her flat, she has already furnished it, inc a bed, and little bedside unit in the 2nd bedroom, not ideal as obviously I'm in my own place, and have bedroom and living furniture!
But none of the items I have were ever expensive, and I'm looking into what I can sell, donate, freecycle, and store...

Well good news on that then. I seem to remember - from way back - you were saying that a lot of your furniture is flatpack. If you flatpack it again - then you can store loads of it away. Just keep it dry.

I will now be paying........... £450 a month.... which will include...

    EVERYTHING!!!!:j :j :j

Rent, utilities, broadband, council tax.... just everything apart from food!

So I'm dead excited, I've handed in my notice on my place, and so that will expire on the 25th and my new flatmate/landlady was really happy to wait, as she says I seem totally perfect flatmate material!

    SO YAY!!!

:T Well done you - that's excellent news.

  • Mum is not happy:sad: - awful lot of money for a room- if you don't get on you'll be stuck in your room on your ownsome. You could be doing that here :rotfl: Suggest a 3 month contract and then if its working out you could agree a longer one- why am I the last to know??
Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???
  • Had time to simmer down- get over the shock-and send you an email.
If its what you want and your happy I can't be any the less happy-not sure what dad will say though!!!! You know where we stand with your loan- you're pressurising yourself too much at times- must be hereditary!!
Don't get rid of too much if you can help it- let me know first- there might be a chance to sell some items at work for you.:money:

    love you lots:A
