  • Have you thought about approaching the council and asking to rent a garage? I think you can get some for a nominal amount. Or what about asking a mate/family member with a garage they arent using?

Well made a cracking start on starting to cull my stuff, to either ebay, or donate to charity... it's mostly clothes at the moment.

I pyschotically attacked my make up and suddenly realised I've had some of that for over 2 years now.... oooooooooooooh the microbes dont even bear thinking about!

It's quite therapeutic in a way... getting ready for a new stage in life and all that. I'm getting more and more excited about it as the days go by...

Tonight I'll be writing all my letters of notice, so will need to buy some stamps today, but that should be the only spending that needs to happen...
Sorry should change that to so that WILL be the only spending that happens!

Am also going to post my provisional SOA for when I move..... and get some advice on whats my best course of action going forward....

    Back!
Had two days away at a managers meeting and am ECSTATIC to report, I didnt spend a penny apart from ..... a bottle of sprite on the train!!
Woohoo, the train fare is expenses, so will get the money for that tomorrow when I'm into work! Am really chuffed with myself about that!

And now here is the new and improved SOA...for when I move

    Incoming
    £1143

    Outgoing
£450 (Rent, utilities and council tax)
£20 Mobile credit (this has been between £10 and £20 a month dependant on whether I've got any friends that month!)
    £250 (Loan repayment to Mum)
£100 (food, this is just a rough guide as Im not sure how things are going to work out with flatmate)

Within food I'll include household items as well, so loo rolls, shampoo, bleach, moisturiser etc...

    So total outgoings :
    £820
So that would leave me with £323 a month spare...now what to do with the spare cash?

Overpay to my Mum (0% interest)?
    Savings?
    Spending?

  • Hi

Why not split what you have left 3 ways then you get the best of both worlds. You reduce your DFD,you save for the future and you have a good time doing it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

if I only spent £10 on credit that would mean an extra £111 each way.... I like the thinking!!!

Have a couple of months with a bit of extra money to assess any unexpected outgoings and then plan what to do with it. Increased payment of loan to parental units not necessary.
Are those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???

Though I take on board CAFCfans post I think a 3 way split is a fab idea.
