Thanks Lilt! Even more exciting news today...the vendors solicitors are hoping we can complete on December 12th! Just waiting on one more piece of information and it'll all be going ahead! I'm going to have to have a big weekend of packing I think!!

Wow what a weekend. I've got 7 boxes and various other bits packed up, 2 bags of clothes easy to go to charity shops (without even trying so going to go through properly anothe day) several DVDs, books, board games and jigsaws sorted to get rid of through various avenues and I've even got rid of some shoes! Not sure I'll get to do much this week as we're going to see Paul Hollywood on Tuesday (been booked for ages and in all the excitement we'd bother nearly forgotten!)
I'm taking the evening to make a few christmas cards before bed and have resisted the urge to put up my little tree (so far)
We've also gained 2 bookcases and a TV stand for a grand total of £10! And I'm pretty sure the shelves will be full almost straight away...I may have to have a book cull before too long!!

Tonight I'm tired but feel I've earned a crafty hour after all my packing adventures and its a completely different kind of tired to having done nothing all day or the result of being at school all day so it's all good.

Not that I'm counting but in 13 days we could have the keys!

Such an amazing feeling. I remember going to pick up the keys for my first house from the estate agent!! And shortly thereafter haring back to tell them that the previous owner had left her cat!! Turned out she had 3 cats, but had been feeding a stray for months.. then didn't want to take it with her. She had even bought it a flea collar. Poor thing. I took the collar off, gave it a drink only and left it outside. It didn't come back after that so I am hoping someone saw a slightly scrawny and matted looking collarless cat and took it in!

Possibly only 6 more sleeps at my parents' before we move. This time next week all being well we should have the keys. We're spendning next Saturday in London so won't be in the house much over next weekend but it'll be our place!
OH is busy sorting gas/electric/Internet etc while I'm busy doing assessments and trying to sort out some of my stuff! Actually that's a lie...struggling to get going this weekend as I'm suffering general time of year lurgy and have been awaking coughing all night. Don't think the stress of nativity rehearsals and house move are helping either! And once that's all sorted I have Christmas to sort out...doing ok with the present buying but don't yet have a turkey or enough cutlery for our guests!

Well tomorrow is THE BIG DAY!! We've exchanged contracts today, and our bed has been delivered. After work tomorrow I will be going to our new house!! it feels so right that it's happening on what would be Grandad's birthday. He never met my OH and I'm no big believer in signs like that but it feels like it was meant to be.

I should be throwing the last few bits of things in boxes but I've been full of cold all week and come home with a stinking headache so thought I'd have a nap...now I don't want to get out of bed again! I do feel a bit better for it though! I'm trying to motivate myself by saying I'll have a nice long soak when I'm done! It's not working yet though!!

I'm back temporarily! We have no Internet!! They were meant to Come on Friday but the engineer was ill so now we have to wait until after Christmas. Fortunately my brother has a wifi thingy we are borrowing from today so I'll hopefully be able to pop back in again!

The house is great, just need to sort everything out now. The bookcases we already have are too tall for the place we wanted but otherwise things are going well! So much today before family descend on Christmas Day though!!

I cannot believe you are attempting family for Christmas you loon! So good to see you back. If your only issue is bookcases not fitting where you would like then it is a happy move indeed!! welcome to your new home and mega congrats!! xx
