On reading the summing up in the Cambridge case. PE stated they were paying the landlord. I can't see this being any different. Every little helps as they say in Tesco.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0

The signs also say "No return within 2 hours".
Once upon a time, shopkeepers (or at least the till receipt) would say "Thank you for your custom. Please call again soon."
Now they're saying "Thanks for your money. Don't come back again today."
Are you reading this, Tesco management? How are your profit figures looking this year?0 -
I've had replies from McDonalds, Next, Boots and Tesco. McDonalds seem to be more concerned than the others.
Next told me to 'kindly contact the retail park owners', Tesco have 'passed my comments on' and Boots thanked me for letting them know but there's not a great deal they can do about it.
I've reminded them that they have more power than Joe Public as they pay rent to a landlord, and to ask B&Q and Sommerfield what happended when their car parks became rich hunting grounds.
Lets see what happens when their takings drop.0 -
Well, I've had 2 friends who have received notices. Helping one go through the newbies thread advice. The other just paid it. I'll post back here with any updates.0

OMG biting my lip not to say something rude about the idiot who paid it...(oops, said 'idiot'...sorry...'mug' might be fairer). But honestly can some people not smell a scam? Glad to hear you are helping the other one, who will win!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi, said newbie here. got hit with one of Parking eyes notices from woodfields retail park. i haven't paid it, and i've now received a reminder. i've read through the newbie thread, and just wanted to confirm, i just copy and paste the appeal template, fill in a cpl of blanks and email it to them?
The driver doesnt have any receipts from the day in question and any purchases that day were made in cash, so the driver has no details on bank or credit card statements of purchases either.
Thanks0 -
Yes that's right just send the appeal as shown but not by email - just on their appeal page. Take a screenshot and keep it, before you submit it as they don't send a copy/receipt showing what your appeal said.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just get that initial appeal (template) off soonest. Don't worry about receipts if none available.
Your main objective is to extract a POPLA code asap. Don't let this drag on with PE as court papers could be served before you can blink, then you're in for a much rougher ride than the one you're on presently.
But ......... please start a new thread for any more questions/advice on your case, as we work on one case, one thread, otherwise advice gets very confused as to whom it applies, and encourages other randoms to post indiscriminately, causing even more confusion. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
