You raised a good point about the deli counter.

Cheeses are frequently cheaper at the counter rather than pre packed.

Super big fan of Wensleydale with cranberries.

    :D

Corned beef, pork pies, ham etc. are sometimes cheaper than the pre-packed stuff too.

I'm veggie karlie, so don't buy that stuff. I tend to stick to "boring" cheeses, as when I buy the nice ones, I can literally eat the whole block in one sitting. Tesco used to do a lovely one with pickled onion in, could demolish that in seconds. I now treat myself to the caramelised onion one from asda every now and again, it's lush! I definitely cannot be trusted with cheese around!

    Hello
Never feel silly asking, ive asked some corkers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: even bought lion instead of loins:rotfl:
Hope your ok and recovering ok now?

If you bought a lion you will need much more than loins to keep it fed (though my gang can easily get through tonnes of food without a lion :)).

Hi all - definitely a lurker in the sense of not posting a lot, but like many others here, not sure anyone's interested in my life! anyway, love this thread, always feel like its not judgmental and everyone's here to help

Anyway, on to the important stuff. Just back from my local A's and standard/ kitchen and citrus wipes down to £1.50, lime still at £3. looking at a.com citrus showing as £1.50 but kitchen ones at £3 so suitable for CC/ HD just read back through all and couldn't see any reason they wont work?

Also, Nivea Vitality shower gel (which I think is a men's one) was reduced to 25p but an empty shelf.

Also Factor 50 P20 reduced to £10.24 in store - which is a great price for a great product!

    Hi to all!

Wipes still worked fine for me this morning HD ordinary & lime both £1.50 charged ( RTC)
Ignore reality. There's nothing you can do about it.

  • We have been out for a nice walk down by the river. Only problem is we came back with 6lbs of blackberries, I already have 3lbs in the freezer! Have frozen that lot now but shall have to look up a few recipes, can't make jam as already have loads, shall have to look into making curd or somesuch!
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

I have in my fridges and/or on my counter tops

    10lb of plums
    16 large oranges
    Strawberries
    Raspberries
    Lemons
    Limes
    Rhubarb
    Bramley apples
    Blackberries in the freezer

I don't have any wine making equipment. Really the only jam I'd make that would be eaten so don't really want to make more, same with chutney.

I have plenty of lemons and limes sliced in the freezer so would rather do something a bit different with them

Freezers are looking very, very full so may be quite tricky to get more in.

There will be crumble made later :D

Any other ideas? Please and ta!

    Hope your lions tasted good!

Still the same, lots of bladder pain. Not back at work yet, been off since April. Had to see force dr who agreed I'm not fit, she has written to my consultant to try and get a future prognosis so they can advise me accordingly. Worrying times. I am very lucky to have such a generous sick policy at work, but the whole thing is driving me crazy and I just want to be better. :o

Not eaten them yet there is the freezer:rotfl:
Awww thats not good, hope you get to hear what you want to hear and its a good job they are generous!
