Did you know this was not Easter saturday - that was last weekend the 22nd.
So my morning started with my heart going in the fast lane, arrived downstairs to no cat, and its not a big house with no where to hide. Checked cat flap - LOCKED! I had a houdini cat. Miss Houdini arrived back in and yelled that I was an interloper :o
OH arrived stating I must not have locked it properly ( men!!). He also arrived with fresh bread for a bacon sarnie... I broke my bread fast yesterday but apparently according to the goddlebox vicar it should be Easter Sunday morning oops
Sarnie was lovely
Was a tad fed up, OH had booked a great looking restaurant for our date day that evening, they phoned to say they had both steps and no toilet downstairs, said to OH couldn't cross my legs all night. ( I no longer attempt stairs on my own when out, I am known to go down them on my bum!)
Both used power chairs to go through the town to the river. We went through a park, where there was a statue of the Queen I had not seen before, sitting on a park bench, head scarf on, bending over feeding treats to several corgis who were placed around her.
OH had booked a river trip, from Windsor to Bray, was lovely, a fab two hours really relaxing and interesting. I love nosing into river back gardensA cheeky pint was had...
Got off boat thinking tea and cake, but ended up in a restaurant with a mouthwatering smell of modules, we decided to change our plans and have an early supper.
We had spotted a bottle of bubbly at home, which we know in laws don't drink. So messaged BIL could we... yes came reply... then we got home shattered put the kettle on and supped tea instead with BGT on TV!
We longed for bed but waited for Miss Houdini to come back in to lock cat flap...
It was a rather expensive day for the housekeeping account but it was worth it to have a date day with OH :AAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: was how my morning started, remember OH didn't believe me that we had a Houdini of a cat .... well he stayed over and was first down this morning to find guess what no cat!!! despite a locked cat flap.
We had a grand tidy up, packed cars, and drove home. Pleased to see my babies :T
On duty in church for family Easter service.... much to feel blessed with.
Collapsed, with books, crochet and Broadchurch until we we went out for a very lat lunch with family.
I am so fortunate that my cousin treats me as another sibling and i get included in family get togethers.
She cooked 12 people three courses and I went home with a very warm feeling inside. Plus the offer of a very lovely door curtain! As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

I would be complaining.
Well after nearly 90 mins it transpired I still had to go into a branch with identification etc to verify my phone number :mad:.
As my husband needs me to do this in order for him to continue what he is doing, thats on the list for today
I am debating complaining, as i am not sure what it will achieve and is it worth the effort......As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Really wanted to curl up in a corner, and put duvet over head.
However needed to crack on with Christian Aid planning
OH went into village and completed chores including Easter "Egg for Daddy aka peanuts, breadsticks and cheese ( diabetic)
He and his girlfriend came to supper, its so much easier when she is with him, he is happier, and is far less grumpy. Sadly she has decided to move nearer daughter so instead of being an hour from him, she will be more like two, it will impact on him and of course then on me. I'm an only child, fortunately OH does get on well with him, and shelters me from some of his irritating behaviour... I do love him but at times do not like his self absorbed moaning self

Weekly Sports massage - fairly painful, however managed to make a banana cake before he arrived and put it in the oven after he left, so that I had cake for when my friend arrived to help with Christian Aid Planning etc.
Good natter....
Pushed myself to go out to support a friend....
In the evening we went to the other Amateur Dramatic Society to see "Breaking the Code" which was about Alan Turing, focusing more about him as a man rather than what he did in the war ( the Enigma code), his sexuality and how he was treated in the 50's, death etc. The lead man was excellent, worth the £10 ticket price what was sad was only 30 in the audience. As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
