Had to be up early, as Dad was taking his car to be serviced up the road. OH picked him up, but I had to be up. The day didn't start well as he quipped about expecting me to be still in bed, in a less than complimentary manner.
Found out he had not bought anything with him, book, crossword, laptop, newspaper, so I had to "entertain" him all day .
He did take us out for lunch to Carluccio's as a thank you. I was so disappointed I had the duck ragu, well there can't have been more than a tablespoon of ragu on the plate... must admit I complained, and the manager sid it was the correct portions . Thought it was very mean... we will be voting with our feet...
Must admit there was a mutual sigh of relief when Dad's garage rung.

London Trip
Osteopath cancelled but I still went for a massage as my therapist is so good and I need to get through production week. My neck and shoulders particularly bad.
Went to the Picturehouse Central for lunch and the found the members bar ... really beautiful with a view down the Haymarket.
Used one of my free tickets to see "lion" would really recommend seeing it. Based on a true story of an Indian boy, being adopted by an Australian couple in the 1980's. The narrative especially in India was so moving and thought provoking.
Home to take way fish and chips from the Fish Shack in our local pub, was so yummy...As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Saturday
Was hoping to go into town Sat morning and do the shopping required for The Players but was wiped out after treatment yesterday. Stayed in bed and OH went into the village for provisions.
Parents In laws arrived 5 mins after OH got back, a reasonable afternoon, that were in a relatively good mood, and I escaped for a little while at production set up.
Evening spent with BIL & SIL in a local pub, which I was concerned about as we had not eaten there before and my inlaws are fussy.
Sunday
Earlier start than usual as it was my church's annual meeting and I needed to set up projector.
Brucie bonus was they have a monthly breakfast club, and I was there early enough to have some :T:T.
In laws left before I returned, we went off for a pub lunch to try a pub we have not been for ages. Sat outside it was such a lovely day. Roast was nice but I hate pile it high type meals as it really puts me off and I hate wasting. Couldn't face shopping came home.
Awkward couple of hours as OH ready to go off on his weeks hols and I wanting him to go, as i need to adjust to a week without him and not dwell on not going with him etc.
Went off to tech rehearsal, which was Ok, but the stage manager is beginning to drive me mad, interfering and getting in the way of props, he just keeps making comments but not asking or discussing things with me. Then snide little remarks. I will NEVER work with him again.
Came home and unwound reading my book....

For the first Monday in ages I did not feel guilty about staying in bed. Which I did reading and sleeping most of the morning :j
Brunch and then went into town to get the food items I required. Took some props back to Wilko that was not required. I was going to have a drink and cake in town, but had bought some hot cross buns so came home to a cuppa and saved my pennies.
So have got to make green mouldy sandwichs - googled and found two 10 year olds showing how, then I found :mad:supermarket guy had given me lemon flavouring not yellow food colouring, so out I went again. I treated myself for a meal for one, as time was fast running out.
Was abit grumpy, OH kept messaging me with all the lovely things he was doing, it was rubbing salt into the open wound which I had told him about yesterday, but he deserves the holiday so I couldn't tell him to go away. We met sailing and honeymooned on the ship he is on, I am now too unwell to go
Back to centre and the stage manager who is winding me up.... hey ho..

It is difficult isn't it when we have to face up to things that we can no longer manage to do. I think it is something difficult for able-bodied people to actually realise how much energy we use doing everyday things. This is also making me cry so I will stop here.
I love staying in bed and snoozing & reading.
Enjoy your week.

Didn't want to make you cry
You are spot on though... Monday they were in port, having lunch on deck, doing assisted climbs. I am missing the social interaction with new people, doing something in a team atmosphere, seeing new places. HOWEVER I am not missing 4am watches and the weather on the North Sea, where they are now :rotfl::rotfl:. I have been there gale force 9 gusting 10 in August....
As you are so wise in saying, I keep plodding, and have sat in my pj's and watched Vera while munching hot cross buns this morning :rotfl:

I was so tired... and really want to stay in bed all morning, however cleaner was due so I crawled out of bed, and I mean crawl. Could have cancelled her, but I know I am important in her grieving journey at the mo. I was right and was a listening ear, I do not mind at all, however the subject matter is hard to hear (grief from tragedy loss of young lives). So although I could have stayed home for coffee and hot cross bun. I needed space, went to the coffee shop to read my book.
Well i was going to the Walled Garden, but found the parking rules have changed and instead of being able to park free for an hour, I have to pay and I had put all my change in a collection tin the day before, So I moved location, to I admit a Costalota. Decided it was a housekeeping treat rather than out of my personal spends.
I decided that I need to escape that Costalotta do not know how to toast a toasted tea cake. They squash it to death in the panni machine - so I look at it and say its a bit of toasted fruit bread :rotfl::rotfl:. Rather than that puffiness of a toasted teacake.
Picked up Mr Borrow My Doggy... well OH normally ensures that my mobility scooter is fully charges, so him being awake can you guess what we found:o. So we had a short walk, however, he loves to sniff so I took my book... so nearly at the end and I read in the park while he sniffed. Bless he was out of sorts not his usual bouncy self... didn't even want his carrot
Saw the owners Mum when I returned him, she tells me that it looks as though she and her boyfriend will be moving out this year, having saved for a deposit on a house... sadly for me and Mr BMD it will not be near. I have very mixed feelings as some weeks it is a real physical effort to see him, including pain in my good shoulder from me holding the lead... then again he gets me out the house, seeing people and socialising. I will really miss hi, but realistic to know this time would come...
Managed a use up from the freezer meal for a quick supper before out to a tech rehearsal, actual performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday this week. Must admit came home in a really funk mood, the Directors Father who is the stage manager is really winding me up... I have just concluded I cannot work with them again. Well at least its not work and I can choose not to.
Came home and watched Casualty and Holby City to unwind..... late to bed....
PS Finished "All Quiet on the Western Front" Erich Maria Remarque. I wish this was a set school text, as it is a masterpiece of human life, friendship and the futility of warAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
