Thanks. That's what I did too, but the first time it wasn't recognised because the site was set on Spanish. Ooops, my bad.

Well done Bubbles, getting it out there.. ;)

    Morning all

As Beanielou would say I am plodding along.... and still finding it very hard to keep motivated.

    Debt

Not good since I last posted

    1. Historic Royal Palaces subscription paid - I need to use it this year or cancel it. I only live 20 mins from Hampton Court. I joined to get myself out more.

    2. Valentines Pressie - OH wanted this autobiography of Elvis Costello, he rarely requests things, I had held off at Christmas and his birthday (Jan) ( hoping it would appear in CS) I didn't get my act together to look on Amazon, so ended up buying it full price in London on Friday :eek: I wanted to get himself something that wasn't just tat, and he wanted. Having both been single for so long, we do recognise it. We buy cards but I don't have flowers as he buys roses for our anniversary in June. He bought me tickets for Vincent and Flavias final tour in Wimbledon tomorrow. I used up all my book tokens so cost me 2/3 money wise.

    3. feeling very sore in London after treatment on Friday i "treated" myself at the station to a magazine I had looked at in Sainsb@rys and put back. Only to find it was not the issue i had wanted  really cross with myself.

    4. On saturday we did a blue moon shopping trip to Kingst@n and I ended up in Lakel@nd to buy a new microwave tray, but ended up buying their smoothie maker. I had been wanting a nuribull3t for ages and this was 1/3 of the price, already in daily use. Still feel guilty though.

    5. Also ended up buying OH a pasta drying rack which was an IOU from his birthday.

So instead of paying off debt I have spent

    £13.99 book
    £5.35 mag
    £46.00 HRP subs
    £29.99 blender
    £14.98 drying rack

    £110.31 of which £58.96 I owe to joint :(:(:o

    Current debt is therefore £1082.91

In other finance news - my old laptop is dying large and heavy, so the trip to Kingston was to buy a new small laptop, from the savings we have put aside for OH 50th birthday celebrations.

This is less than our household insurance renewal. Originally coming in at £3k yes £3k with a £25k excess, using specialist brokers now got it down to £1500. with a £2k excess :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Also add that in the last 10 years it has been of normal average cost for the area, the 2014 flooding has caught up with us.

We live 100 yards from the Thames and in the great flooding of 2014 our garden was flooded ( ankle deep) in places and was 3 inches from coming in. Our belonging were on bricks. We have since had flood protection fitted by the Environmental agency. Apparently we last actually flooded in 1948, but since then flood defences have been put in at Windsor.

So you see I am hanging my head with the frustration, that I am not earning :embarasse:embarasse:cry::cry:

Dont hang your head with frustration.
What can you do to generate any income from home?
Even £10 a week would help & you could put it on the CC?

    Morning dear diary and friends.

Well I am determined that this week will be a more positive one.

I set up my alarm to 7.30 this morning, as I have been struggling with 7am, and felt 8am was just a tad late. OH wakes up at 6am, and Ive read we sleep in 11/2 hour cycles.

I just though want to go off piste and describe one of dreams I had last night - I was in a posh bookshop, and I spotted two members of the royal family - Great I thought this is one up on my friend who only saw one last week! The 2 royals was Princess Alexander and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Then I was walking down a street which was somewhere in London with what I thought was a hat on only at one point I took it off and realised it was the breadboard, (Rectangle wooden slats, with the drawer underneath with a gold knob on the drawer. That had been given to us as a present which we don't need and I had washed up to give to charity shop yesterday. Oh my how our brain works:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Any how I now have showered dressed and just about before 9 ( DF diaries made me slightly late)

I'm on to my second cup pf tea, and debating whether i will make myself a green sludge smoothie :o or a bowl of shreddies. :D

I have just listened to thought for the Day with Father Brian Darcy. Who was talking about hibernation, and bringing ourselves out of the winter blues. I must admit he sounded as if he needed a massive hug.

So, I am reading this book called the organised mind, and I have started putting all my tasks on Index Cards, so firstly I have mind dumped them out of my brain. So instead of them rattling around in their like the lottery ball machine, and one pops out by chance I can order and prioritise them. Same as lists you say, well yes, but a long list can also mean you can't prioritise as is so overwhelming this method is one task to a card and you put them on piles. Quick win do now, must do today etc. Then you work through the cards assigned for today!

So on my pile of cards for today.

    1. Contact lady who has approached me to do an embroidered cat ( see next post) :D
    2. Go to large supermarket by my pilates class to buy - packet of girls underwear. ( A plea from a lady in church a friend is going to a third world country, where they are desperate for children underwear)
    3. Complete my 40Acts of Generosity (Lent challenge today) which centres around Giving Love - I have been meaning to write to a friend of a friend who has been diagnosed with ME and to my SIL whose Mum has died ( it was a blessing as she had severe dementia) however loosing your mum, is loosing your mum.
    4. I also want to ensure I go out having done chore, made bed, washed up etc.
    5. Also in large supermarket - large letter stamps to then post, letters to potential clients ( also having printed off fee sheets first)
    6. Contact treasurer re Christmas day to handover accounts
    7. update calendar
    8. large supermarket - buy Uncles birthday card
    9. Go to pilates
    10. prompt list

Well for now I think that is enough..... bowl of Shreddies to sustain me! ;)
