    And back to Saturday night

Cross the road to a barbecue so the boys could watch the rugby. I was intending to go for food and then retired home as I have no interest in the rugby. I ended up spending a lot of the night with a neighbour Who has been recently widowed in her early 50s and has a teenage daughter I have a lot of empathy for her situation; we watched her husband's journey with cancer. However I don't really like her as I always find that she spends the entire time driving the focus of the conversation on to her for example she never asks how I am what I am doing.

I also managed to have a few more glasses of vino than I had planned. This has had many effects. Firstly it leads me to say things which at times perhaps is better left unsaid - not diplomatic- yesterday I was worrying about it and to be honest it is also a little niggle today. Secondly although I didn't have a hangover as such but my fatigue levels were hitting rock bottom yesterday! I know this and I know I should just have the one but I felt so low Saturday and was enjoying the company. Thirdly I wonder if the mix of cheap alcohol is also causing my fuzzy head and nausea today.

I need to look after myself more and look at my diet to see what aggravates my conditions.:(

On a lighter note Miss bigeyes is currently playing with a red mouse this is far better mr grumpy cat who brought in a dead mouse on Friday. I screamed, closed my eyes and put my legs in the air poor husband had to sort out :rotfl::rotfl:

    Good morning all

I've woken up again with a bit of the blues and fatigue. Last night I finished doing crazy cat ladies diary. She has started to paste three reasons to be grateful each day.

So this is mine for yesterday.

    1. I finished my ribbon embroidery love heart at my embroidery course yesterday.
    2. I had a lovely day On my course with new friends Put my name down for the next one in January
    3. OH Made yummy Apple pudding to celebrate the end of the bake off and I cried my eyes out watching Nadia's confidence in her baking skills win over her lack of confidence in herself to win GBBO.

Nadia was inspiring and so was crazy cat ladies diary to add the other amazing diaries I read on here Mrs hinge, Sun addict, silver lining, flying solo and Beanielou :A:A:A:A

With thanks to the EBay wins, lottery win, and being frugal this week I have only £25.00 to go to pay off my Halifax :j:j:j

I have hidden the card..... And have put on the next Agenda of our household meeting whether to close this account.

It is a relic of my single life the only account I have that is in my name only. The only advantage I can see is if I want to buy a surprise item for OH. But then again in my new living within my means... I need to save for it :j

Monthly allowance - my Dad has confirmed he will contribute towards my Oestopath and Massage. This in effect covers one trip to London. There's been two this month due to fall. Therefore is very helpful. :A:A. Even if it makes me a little uncomfortable. I have been brought up to be self sufficient. Also he has stipulated what it should cover :o which always makes me feel that I cannot responsively choose to spend it well.

Ho hum, OH has agreed that as this amount is budgeted for, the extra amount can be put towards my John Lewis debt that I owe the joint account.

    Now it's worth reflecting.

In our budget we both have £55.00 per week that needs to cover:

    1. Hair cut and colour
    2. Clothes that are not essential ( everyday shoes, jeans, work trousers and underwear are paid from a separate budget)
    3. Craft materials and courses
    4. Books, it0nes etc
    5. Mobile phones
    6. Charity Donations that as personal to the individual - for me this is a small amount to my church every month - OH has no faith)
    5. Entertainment when we are not together
    6. Presents to each other
    7. misc ie my Fitbit.
    8. holidays where we go on our own... Ie next year OH is going sailing and I am going to Southwold for most of the week on my own. ( Around the anniversary of losing Mum when black dog is at its worse. I am going to be able to look at the sea every day.)

In recent years I have tried to budget but not succeeded. I do have a tendency to say oh blow it, and stick it on the card, especially spending so much of my time indoors, when I have the opportunity to go out I do not decline often, unless I am unwell.

I am though going to consider each category and see where I can do better.

But now I must get something to eat before massage.... And face the washing up in kitchen

    Morning all

A little breather before taking my Mr Borrow My Doggy out for a walk - he's already eaten the handle from my knitting bag and the corner of CD

Miss Big Eyes has taken refuge under the bed, and mr Grumpy Cat, is now out having been disturbed from his slumber in the flower box. :rotfl:

As I went to collect him I thought from my three things to be grateful for from yesterday.

    1. The horses are back in the field backing onto our garden it's always a joy to see their heads over the wall.
    2. My sports massage - good chin wag with therapist although massage itself was painful and I am still feeling the results :(
    3. I've finished 10 Christmas cards only another 100 ish to go

Right off to get some vit D

Not so good though when he's got lazy/senile and is pooping in the house Beanie. Got him some cat litter but he won't use it.
