Lunch time break......
Well having gone to bed early, with my book, tv off (and there's one in this bedroom) I just couldn't get to sleep  tried mindfulness breathing, etc finally dropped off at 1pm ish after resulting to reading Prima
So when the alarm went off at 7.15 I turned over and awoke at 9.30 ..... Not what I wanted for my start of business focusing.
Start as I mean to go on......
Tea and hot shower ....... Left my soap in the last accomodation (asked hubbie to rescue it when he went back to hand keys in, but he forgot ).
Think I will have to go and buy some..... I have so much at home :eek:
Breakfast - r3adyb3rk
Lunch - omellate and cheese
Tea - last slice of cherry and almond cake
Supper - lamb chop stew now in slow cooker :T
First chapter of "My New Business by Wendy Kerr " read and exercises nearly completed.

Lunchtime catch up day 2
My throw it all in lamb broth was yummy last night and I was then able to blitz the remainder for soup today.
Naughty moments, eating the haribo sweets ( left by letting agent) and cocktail cherries ( left over advocat snowballs over new year). I am using them up though :rotfl:
Today's menu
Breakfast - cheese omelette
Lunch - lamb broth ( and cocktail cherries)
Tea - white chocolate and cranberry cookie
Supper, sausage, leeks, sweet potatoe, swede and spinach
Yesturday afternoon, I went out to my favourite spot on Gunhill and did a mindfulness meditation for 10 minutes looking at the sea :T:T. I intend to do the same today.
On the way back, I went and got a few bits to tide me over, all planned and to be used. No treats, and no "just fancy that buys" :T
Achievement - after my trip I focused on domestic rather then business matters and started to get to grips with my bank accounts again.

What is the bookclub book?
It is Ghostlight by Joseph O'Conner
Here is the Goodreads description
Dublin 1907, a city of whispered rumours. A young actress begins an affair with a damaged older man, the leading playwright at the theatre where she works. Rebellious and flirtatious, Molly Allgood is a girl of the inner city tenements, dreaming of stardom in America. She has dozens of admirers but in the backstage of her life there is a secret.
Her lover, John Synge, is a troubled genius, the son of a once prosperous landowning family, a poet of fiery language and tempestuous passions. Yet his life is hampered by convention and by the austere and God-fearing mother with whom he lives. Scarred by a childhood of loneliness and severity he has long been ill, but he loves to walk the wild places of Ireland. The affair, sternly opposed by friends and family, is turbulent, sometimes cruel, often tender.
Many years later, an old woman makes her way across London on the morning after a hurricane. Christmas is coming. As she wanders past bombsites and through the city's forlorn beauty, a snowdrift of memories and lost desires seems to swirl. She has twice been married: once widowed, once divorced, but an unquenchable passion for life has kept her afloat as her dazzling career has faded.
A story of love's commitment, of partings and reconciliations, of the courage involved in living on nobody else's terms, Ghost Light is a profoundly moving and ultimately uplifting novel. As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

Dear Diary
I am having a very mixed day, and I currently feel shaken up and close to tears.
So last night ..... OH fell asleep and didn't message to say goodnight....l well brain went into overdrive and I wondered if something had happened to him or one of the cats ! Totally stupid and I told myself so....l but didn't get to sleep until one....
Woke up it was nearly 10 and feeling really out of sorts ! Looked at my period tracker..... According to that I'm ovulating ...... So presumably that's why my emotions are all over the place and I feel close to tears.
Realised that breakfast /lunch was going to be interesting as I'm nearly out of soya milk - no readybrek or coffee. But didn't really want to buy a new litre carton especially as it's 20p more in Mr T here.
If I had eggs for breakfast ...... No lunch !
OH suggested I need to get out..... So I have with mixed results..... Found a lovely independent cafe which did soya milk ... So coffee and a sausage sarnie with local sausages and bakery bread plus a green tea, came to just over £7 which I felt was very reasonable, and it was great to be in a social atmosphere.
Weaved my way back...., via a CS bought, a pink fleece rug, to make myself a leg tube to keep myself warm on the scooter. And a top for £2 :T:T
resisted a cake in the bakery didn't have enough pennies in my purse, went to the seafront and did my mindfulness meditation.
Checked on my car, and then have had a run in with a builder .........As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

On my way home ......... The pavement was blocked in front of a pub by a builders van who had parked on the pavement, I could see from the look on the builders face if I asked him to move.... So I turned round to find a drop curb, and because opposite didn't have a dropped curb, I had to go on the road. I have a small travel scooter, so it is small and not powerful.
So when I passed the van I commented to the builder than I would have felt safer on the pavement.
I can't really remember what I said, I know I was polite ( especially as I had just done 10mintes of deep breathing).
His response was
"I will be gone in 10 minutes " I did say that was no good for me
" What am I complaining about nothing happened to me"
"I wouldn't complain if it was my house you were working on"
" Get a life"
I rounded the corner and burst into tears, I felt vulnerable for being in the road and then the harsh words.:mad::(:(
This is a brewery pub, we use to know the landlord, but we think it's changed.
I don't want to make trouble, but I do feel that I would like to tell the brewery.
I know want to tell him, that I wouldn't hire him as my builders, as my builders ( who are arriving on Monday) are considerate to those whether with disabilities or pushchairs and would make sure the pavement was clear for them or a safe alternative as they wouldn't want me to try and navigate the middle of the road with pot holes.

I can't abide people who park on the pavement and make it impossible for wheelchairs or pushchairs to pass. I'm a driver and would go look for an alternative if I would have to park that far on the pavement. Make your email strong, but ensure they know how upset you are XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31.
