Hi All
As promised checking in with my budgets for August:
Groceries - £33.44/£100 - Really determined to keep within budget this month. Have produced a flexible meal plan for the month and had my did my main monthly shop on the 31st July as my budget starts on 28th
Contingency - £0/£50 - This is higher than the £20 you suggested NSK but my local Sainsbury's is closing for a week soon and I want to go in on the last day to see if I can stock up on any discounted meat and veg :money:
Pets - £22.66/£50 - This is high again this month as we may need straw for the chicks. I also have 2 additional dogs at the moment as my sister has asked me to dog sit so the food bill will increase a little
Personal - £3/£30 - This covers anything not included in the grocery budget. Soft drinks, chocolate, ice cream, hair dye etc. Hoping not to use it all but don't want to get despondent by setting it too low.
No social budget as we have agreed that anything we do will be free this month. Walks by the river or around local beauty spots with a picnic or a disposable BBQ if we feel like it (we have a pack of 4 in the shed from a couple of years back)
I also have no petrol budget as OH is covering this from his fuel expenses for charity work. We don't use the car much so they should cover the petrol.
SFD - 2/12 - Hoping for more but will start with this.
My DFD, for this I am going to borrow Mothernerd's choice which is when I sell my house. This will hopefully be mid 2015 after I have completed the renovations. If all goes to plan I will be both Debt Free and Mortgage Free.
eBay - 0/50 - I know I can find 50 items but I may not sell them all on eBay. I want to do a car boot and try to sell some more books on one of the specialist book sites. I will aim to sell at least 20 of the items I find
PIO - 0/1 - Not sure what I can do for this as I already help a numbers of neighbours with medical problems etc but I will try to find something new to do, possibly something for a stranger.
Loveadove good luck with the job application and job hunt. To say I love a list is an understatement. My OH hates them unless it's a shopping list :rotfl:
Stewby I wish I could claim that the grass was greener on my side but with 4 free ranging chickens and 5 (sometimes 7) dogs my grass is definitely not green :rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry for the epic post but the first one setting out my targets always seems to turn into an essay. I promise to try to be more brief in future posts.

Evening everyone,
Not a spend free day today as I had to get petrol and go food shopping. I did get a metafit class in this morning, it was outdoors in the rain but it wasn't too bad once we got going. I've got a couple of things to put on eBay so far, the plan is to do that tomorrow.
I'm still thinking about my legacy and PIO deed. I though I might give blood but there's not exactly an opportunity to ask someone to pass it on is there?
SFD 0/12

Evening everyone, just sneaking in with a quick report...well, not a report as such. It's past midnight and I've just climbed into bed but gotta check in before I go to sleep
Not a SFD for me today, and too busy with work to squeeze in a yoga class. More work tomorrow (and definitely a yoga class at night!!) but I'll update all my totals then.
Goodnight0 -
My first NSD today, hopefully tomorrow too.
Can housework count as exercise? I did lots yesterday at a good pace too. I was a bit out of breath and gross and sweaty.
I'm on the look out for a good deed to do, love that idea! I'm always doing stuff for family but they aren't likely to pass it on. Mostly because they only know each other!
I am going to start donating to the local food bank though as well as keep an eye out for something else.Highest debt: £25,702.08(estimated) DFD 29th August 2018 Paid £35.25

Hi L_D,
I have a friend who is passionate about the Blood Donation Service following her own life experiences, and she set herself the challenge of recruiting as many new donors as she could via a FB page. Perhaps your PIO could be getting some new donors for them? Not quite PIO in the literal sense, but an idea if you can't think of anything else...........
