Didn't do my grateful list yesterday, so grateful for having a sense of humour (got me through many a crisis), the NHS and a lovely rich yellow moth in my bathroom - the colour of a tiny Autumn leaf. Eco-therapy (communing with nature) is the way to go and I don't even have to go outside, it comes inside for me.

MagicCat I seem to remember it has to be used fairly quickly but I haven't been to get mine yet. I'll let you know. I'm going to lose another SFD for it but I think it's worth it :)

Thanks Fmess! Our morries is over the other side of the city, but I'm working near there on Monday - I think the voucher runs out before then though so I will keep my SFD today!

I have given blood!:j Made the mistake of looking at the needle in my arm - but apart from that it was fine, so really glad I've done it, many thanks to L_D for the prompting to do it. Thay gave me a little 'thank you' card as it was the first time I've been, which I thought was a really nice touch, but I think L_D really deserves it!:A

    Hi gang

Well I woke up feeling down in the dumps this morning, so as per LoveaDove's signature of 'do more of what makes you happy' and Mothernerd's talk of eco therapy, I took a lovely cycle ride adventure along the tow path on my electric bike.. so thanking you for lifting my spirits ladies :D

Spend day today but only to buy The Sun newspaper so I can benefit from Morrisons give away fruit and veg! Thanks for that Fmess :D I may as well make the most of the spend day and indulge in yummy choccie tea cakes while they are cheapest at Morries..

Just enjoyed a free Waitrose latte on the cheap seats and bagged a free diet coke in Boots after spotting the free bottle with the word 'hunk' on lol! I'm not a huge fan of coke but couldn't resist a freebie :p

Well done MagicCat - it really does make a difference to people's lives, you should be very proud of yourself :j:j:j

Spends today for bread, and brother in law and brother's birthday cards - August is a mare for family birthdays - but was £4 planned spends. Did spend an extra fiver on two new school shirts for DS1, not sure he'll need them but know won't be able to get any by the end of school hols and they'll keep for next year for DS2 if not needed. Clocked an extra day's exercise as cycled to town and back, much faster going child free so managed to break into a sweat as well!

And found another item for auction site, grand total of 4 items but NO bids :( !

Today am grateful for my bike, for the lovely track that takes me into out local town completely off-road, and for being able to exercise - hugs to all having physical problems that are stopping them from doing so at the moment.

I have had a lovely day out with the kids today, we travelled by train (4 in total) which I find exhausting. All the money spent came from our school holiday budget and we are well within our budget.

Dd had her 6-monthly blood check and consultant appointment today. All ok, and seeing the nutritionist in a few weeks to discuss the blood test results.

She likes the bus journey as we sit upstairs at the front, and I get a running commentary of what she can see. Since getting back, she's played out with other kiddies and has topped it off by gping for a run with daddy - in her swimsuit and doodles!

So, I claim another NSD for my total.

Well done magic cat on giving blood, and caeraugirl on the cycling and PhoeniX on getting out into nature and dolly on keeping within your budget.

I was mightily relieved yesterday to discover that we do in fact have the 9 yrs I thought we had, to pay off the mortgage. Phew!

calling I would echo what's been said on here already - that's its not too late to start the counselling... it has helped me enormously, and cruse are supposed to be brilliant. I saw someone through work, but they also recommended cruse as an organisation. As the counsellor said to me at the first session, they can't make the grief go away, but they can help you deal with it. They also said it is better to go a bit later down the line as for the first few months you are in shock still anyway... I hope that is helpful. Hugs to you - it's such a difficult thing to go through...

MagicCat well done you! I am tempted to follow your PIO lead and give blood too. Does anyone know how you find out where to give it? I have never done it before but totally have no excuse not to.

I have another SFD here, and am torn between a bike ride and some yoga. I think I will yoga as I have been running / cycling a lot this last week and my old knees ache a lot today. Can't be getting injured now I have paid up for the duathlon and started to collect sponsorship for the Brain Tumour Charity. Took a lovely walk round part of the city walls at lunch time. That was very nice for the soul.

Right, better go and downward dog.. x

I've been to Morries and got lots of fruit and veg. Bought two papers, so shopped twice (naughty fmess ;) ). First time I got two punnets of strawberries, 3 peppers, a pack of bananas and some carrots, and paid 20p. The second time I got a lettuce, grapes, raspberries, potatoes, sweet potatoes, plus milk and gf Millionaire's shortbreads for £3.40 :) So rather chuffed :)

I also went to PoH and used a £4 off when you spend £40 and have enough dog and puppy food, plus training treats, to last into next month :)

Exercise has consisted of a bodycombat class and one dog walk so far, will go and do a couple more in a minute.

All in all a SFD but a good and productive one (also finished painting the kitchen :) )
