Evening all, just back from yet another funeral, this year has been truly rubbish in that respect. Today wasn't a NSD as I bought a card online for a friend (well actually I topped up a pre-pay amount to get 20% extra), and yesterday wasn't one as I picked up some things in town - on list but still spendy.

Wed wasn't as I bought some very cute little shoe boots for the funeral today - very frivolous of me at £35 but they are lovely and not too high so should get some decent wear out of them. Oh and then I bought tights (two pairs as HOW do you tell what colour you actually are from the pack????) and my only flesh colour pair that don't make me look like a corpse have a hole in. I topped it off with a jumper online which I may or may not keep. ....:o

I THINK though that Tues was NSD #10, I can't think I bought anything that day, in fact I'm fairly sure i had the day from hell at work and didn't leave the office until late.

Seem to be creeping slowly to target but not sure I'll make it this month. I've just been so busy that I don't seem to be able to get 100% organised.

Another quiet day at home with poorly DD, so NSD #6. I did put some petrol in the car when I went to pick up DS from work, but only because we are trying to work out if the car needs to go to the garage, as various lights keep coming on, and DH suggested that putting in some of the more expensive unleaded might make it run more smoothly. So, as I didn't really need the petrol I'm not counting it, hope that's ok.

congratulations on the exam results, just under 2 weeks til school starts again here.

NSD 6 . We may actually get there this month.

Thank you to my friend Beanie for nagging me until I rang the tax man. Should result in about 300 quid!

  • Enjoy your time with your family, marmite, the occasional update will be fine, no need to post every day. The September thread is up and running thanks to your organisation, and it is gathering new and existing members every day. See you back at school!

Thanks. We don't see each other very often.

I'm only up so early because Foxychops is being naughty and has been knocking things over/scratching on books to get me up,and I can't get back to sleep. She,however, has settled back in her basket, and is dozing after lots of strokes -the wee beast!
Well, if marmite's figures on this morning's update are correct, and you add on the NSDs reported by me, fedupandskint and gothrockchick, that means we have a fabulous 236 NSDs
so far in the Cauldron of Doom! And still 9 days left!

    Well done Team NSD!!!!!!

Shall we make 300?! That would be something.:)

    I've updated the front page.
  • Happy Saturday all!

kathy commiserations re night shifts. I do 3 nights once every 4 weeks. Used to do twice as many but it affected my gut (ulcerative colitis and IBS) so cut back. Not a natural way for the human body to exist.
