hi all, well l spent friday night at my sisters to help get ready for neices 5th birthday party which was nice-not so much fun was being woken by the kids at 6am-but being cuddled by them was!The girls are fascinated by my boobs-(prosthesis) and had great fun sticking them up there tops and wearing them as hats!its strange how they accept things. My nephew is 7 now and he was scared of my wig when l was on chemo-still likes checking its all my own hair now!IT was nice to come home last night to own bed!!Today had to get up early as Sis in law was going on Gateway trip-she had a last minute paddy when she saw rain and upset me by saying she wasnt going to live here any more.Think she is going bit adolecent on us at 46yrs old .Hope she has cheered up as can be very stubborn and the helpers will have hard time from her!Hubby took me out to lunch at lovely local pub food was nice-and no mess after!Put fruit loaf in bm for tea.hugs to allx

    Brilliant Hester

    That's a real profit.

I've been mooching arount 'tinternet this afternoon and just found this article. It's about being a non-domestic goddess.

Not sure if it's better here or on the flylady thread - but it made me laugh a little ( and blush a little, not too many of them here apply to me now, but there was a time......and there will be again, I'm sure)

    Good afternoon all,

Congratulations PenPen and DD...didnt get on here early enough to wish you luck, but had the thought!

Smokey, good to see you back, sorry that you have been having such a bad time...comes in waves I think, big plus is that you are doing really well with getting your finances sorted.

Enjoyed the non-domestic goddess article...so like me most of the time.

Jamie, congratulations on becoming debt free,,,keep it going!

New gazebo is now up, all we need is a nice evening sometime this year so that we can have a barbecue...DD3 had to be called on to do finishing touches as OH couldnt reach top properly. They are now both shouting at the tv while watching a football match.

Good on you Hester, that is definitely the way to go on eBay!

Did my budget last night and we apparently have €120 surplus each month...hadn't noticed and I have just remembered that my tablets cost €85 and doctor's visit €25 so that is a more realistic surplus IMO.

Trout with baked spuds and peas and some rhubarb thing (yet to be decided) for dinner...there is soup as well but may have that to-morrow as fryup this morning was very filling.

Hugs to all in need or want of one or more

Congrats Pen Pen and Pen Pen DD :T :T :T
... Jodi Picoult - DD has read *My Sister's Keeper* and said it's one of the best books she's ever read. She's ordered 2 more for her holiday, but I forget thier titles. ...
Did she use the link posted yesterday? (Sorry, can't remember if it was donny-gal or someone else, but I did see it and thank you for it :o ) Great deal on JP books ;) I'm delighted to hear that she enjoyed it :T As I said, it's very thought provoking indeed!

WTG, Hester :T  :D Now, what will you spend your profits on? ;) :D

meanmarie - it's a real beggar when you *think* you have a healthy surplus ... only to discover those *hidden* bits that gobble it all up! :naughty: At least you are on the ball and know what's what now :T too often people have *no* real idea and continue to spend regardless! Well done on getting it all down on paper in cold hard facts and knowing for sure where you stand! :T :T I'll take one of those hugs off your hands :D Between yours and dannahaz, my day is improving by the score, thank you :D :T

Sharon - not sure if I should have .. but your post had me :rotfl: = prosthesis hats indeed! :rotfl: :T Glad you had a nice lunch :D

    Hi Churchmouse
No the book's not rare it's still available on Amazon for £8.99. go figure, I can only assume some people got carried away in a bidding war

Peem that link to the non domestic goddess is so like me :rotfl:

Good evening all :hello: hope everybody is well

late one from me as I actually did a car boot sale today ( and I actually enjoyed it :o ) I had to take DD13 and DDog as I couldnt get 'baby' or pet sitters so it was a bit difficult at times but I managed and came out with £57.52 profit :T I will do another one in a month to get rid of more stuff but it was so cleansing. The car still has all of the leftover stuff in it as it is throwing it down so it will have to wait till tomorrow :o I had the weirdest lady next to me  she needed some new shoes so she toddled off and spent £1 on a new pair but couldnt put them on as she didnt have a seat. I offered for her to sit on one of my seats to try them on and she picked up the chair, put it at her side of the car, plonked her bum down and said to me 'oooo thats a nice seat, thats me for the day' the cheek of her - I waited till she was busy and promptly plonked my bum down on MY seat :rotfl: then the poor woman behind me had left her ignition on and she had run her battery down. I tried to help her and managed to get some jump leads but the man that we got to actually jump our cars nearly got an electric shock when he connected to my car - it was fizzing and snapping and in the end we told him to take it off. In the end I had to leave as I had to get DD to dancing so I hope she managed to get somebody to give her a push :o

Well Im off now to sort out school clothes for DD

    Good night all :)

First time posting on one these threads, but just needed to take a little break. Been sorting out my room (I live at home with mum, dad, sister, her hubby, and their two boys), need to have it done by tomorrow as we've got someone coming over to check the house (we've had damp problems which don't seem to get cured at all) and my room was rather a state. I guess I'm just one of those people who likes "stuff". I keep things in my room of organised chaos. Only a little left to do (in my opinion) but really don't want to do it now, but will have to as I put everything on my bed which was in the wrong place. I guess I know myself well enough to make myself tidy things like that. So, this is my five minute, drink tea and have a piece of fudge break :D I like those sorts of breaks. Oh well, my tea is gone, as is the fudge so time to get back to it I guess. Wish me luck!
