    Hi All
Hugs & welcome back to Smokey & anyone else, I've forgotted the start of the thread by the time I get to the bottom!

I took hubby to watch his nephew gokart racing yesterday, I watched one race & then went back to the car & slept for 3 hours, lol. I has been up since 4:20!

I have sold another 5 or 6 items on ebay & have more ready to list so I've made another £30.

I'm working next Saturday, washing up at a wedding & then will get some weekday shifts, on the day's I'm not working I shall got to my DD's at 7:30 & look after DG, my SIL works days & DD works nights, from 5:30 till 12:30 she's 3 months pregnant & is so tired, so if I go thereshe can have a lie in.
I'll do it as many days as I can till end of August & hopefully she'll feel better by then.
    Hugs to all
    Hester

Harry Potter was fantastic, you were so right Queenie, Imelda Staunton certainly does the character justice - and some. On the surface, very prim and proper, but simmering beneath the surface, an evil witch. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't make more of the emotional impact the death of the *ehem* key character, and also that they didn't feature Neville Longbottoms character development with the hospital scene - but all in all a brilliant adaptation. I'm chomping at the bit for the book now. 6 days and counting. :j

Ooh, me too, I can't wait. I've got to plan meals that can be prepared on Friday and just removed from the fridge, because all I'm going to be doing on Sat is reading.

Must take my boys to see the film too sometime soon. Glad you think it was good, I was a bit afraid such a long book would get edited too much.

Hi, everyone! Thank you all so much for your good wishes, and PMs :A they were very helpful. Well, DD and I survived the R4L, and I finished in 35 mins, my fastest yet. DD finished in 33 mins, and despite being very apprehensive, could certainly have done it quicker than that. The atmosphere was great, including someone dressed as a can of :spam: We celebrated with hot chocolate in Thorntons - no calories, of course ;) Took some pics, so will be updating my sponsorship page, and totalling my sponsorship tomorrow.

Off to see some friends for supper, soon. We were supposed to be having the afternoon at their new allotment, but think we might be inside with a glass or 2 of wine!

Jodi Picoult - DD has read *My Sister's Keeper* and said it's one of the best books she's ever read. She's ordered 2 more for her holiday, but I forget thier titles.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Penny. x

:o Sorry, realised I should have checked in here first, but the *candlewax from fabric* is one of my favourite tricks (I have to perform it frequently), and couldn't resist!

    Hi everyone.
Well school broke up on Friday :D and I came home with tons of chocs, flowers and wine. The school is in a poor area but the parents are always so generous. I am still de-stressing and my energy levels could do with a boost but I reckon the pleurisy has finally cleared up now after 2 weeks. :j

Yesterday was a full-on day with orchestra, visiting MIL and then a late family party which we all went to. This morning we were at church for 9.30am as we had a special children's service which was really good. We are supposed to be at the church family fun afternoon now but it's raining and so I'm going to catch up on the washing and ironing instead. DH has got a headache (too much beer last night) and the girls are lying in front of the tv. Don't know what's for tea as we were supposed to be eating at the BBQ so I'll have to motivate myself or have a look in the freezer.
    Have a good day.

    Afternoon all.

Haven't posted for a while. Not a lot to say really.

    Life goes on.

I've got a horror of a sore throat today. So I'm pretty much leaving the kids to DH - don't think he's too chuffed! He's taken them to costco just now.

Speaking of DH, it's his birthday on tuesday and I still don't have a clue what to get him! I seriously haven't got a clue. I've got two James May driving books and the James May and Oz Clarke wine book from the book people for the kids to give him. But other than that there's nothing! What a bad wife I am.

    Congrats Pen Pen.

Hugs to all. Think I'll slink off back to bed and quietly ignore the ironing.

Oh wow, I just had to tell someone, I've just sold a book on Ebay for £31, I can't believe it, it only cost me £8.99 2 years ago.
