    Morning all.

Really gotta keep up with posting in the daily thread, been a bit on and off recently, been so busy keep forgetting to post :o

Not much planned for today, spent yesterday out at the in laws, so plan to use today to do housework I didn'tget to do yesterday. But I am quite swaying to the idea of going Asda, but at the same time trying to be good and save money. Done really good with my grocery challenge this month, half way through the month and have only spent £13.60 out of my £100, gonna need to get a few bits next week, but should be able to do that on £20 :j

Received the free tickets I applied for, for the Nick JR event next week in Manchester yesterday. Hadn't told them about it, and have showed them the tickets this morn, so they are chuffed, nice to see them excited about something, especially when it's free! (Shame the petrol and other costs to get there aren't free, but can't have everything I guess :rotfl:)

Roast chicken for dinner today and might make another sponge cake, the one I made one the inlaws yesterday went down a treat and the kids want me to make another! (thanks to all who answered my sponge cake thread, thanks for the advice)

    Good morning!

Well it's a beautiful day in London, lets hope it stays like it.

Good luck, Pen-Pen and DD, not that you'll need it:D :D

Smoky, lovely to have you back. So sorry for all your troubles, but hope the corner is now well and truly turned.

Now AussieLass, there was never any chance, bias or not, that their house could compete with yours:rolleyes: You and Mr Aussie had the advantage of having to report in to a boardful of [STRIKE]nosey[/STRIKE] interested Oldstylers:rotfl: You apparently are an *interested* person too:D

Yesterday was fun with DGSs, but also quite tiring:o The naughty corner was mentioned once or twice, but fortunately didn't have to be employed;)
I don't think we'll be so lucky when we have them for the whole weekend in August:D :rotfl:

Hair has now stopped dripping down my neck so I suppose it's time to get the hairdryer out and finish it off. That or I'll be attending Church wrapped only in a towel, with dishevelled hair!

    Bye for now, CMxx

    Morning all:hello:

It is absolutely pouring here. Very quiet in the house this morning -OH has taken DS1 swimming and DS2 is at a sleepover, so there is just me and DD.

Not much on today. I'm planning some sort of Chicken Cordon Bleu dish for tea (chicken breasts with bacon/ham and Gruyere ) and a gooseberry crumble.

No idea what to make for lunch -soup seems a good idea considering the weather.

I might make some Anzac biscuits (a certain Antipodean lady has issued me with a challenge :p:D ) -thing is, I'll only eat them all

    Have a good Sunday all

    Good morning everyone,

Had a nice lie in, read some of my book in bed, and DD brought me up a cup of tea in bed, Lovely!!! Ive just made us all waffles for breakfast, and DS and DD a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows in it, so 2 very happy children here at the mo!

Weather is horrible, so a day inside i think, doing not a lot. Think i will prob stay in my pjs all day, and then have a long soak in the bath later - i love lazy days!!!

Will be cooking roast lamb for lunch, but as we have had a late breakfast, i will be cooking it as a late lunch, so dinner will be 'pick a plate' basically, whatever they fancy from the cuboard, when they get hungry!!

Thats about it i think from me, ((HUGS)) to anyone who would like/need one, and GOOD LUCK PENPEN, hope the weather isnt too bad for the race.

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Morning all!

    Good Luck PenPen!

Amie I looked through the June GW magazine, and the only Eden Project offer I can find is for 20% off their online plantshop during June. I don't get GW regularly anymore, so I don't have May's issue to check.

<<Smokey>> sorry to hear about the terrible time you've had.

And I've plenty of spare hugs if anyone else would like one.

Bought a Remoska yesterday, and used it to cook our dinner (parmesan baked chicken). Worked really well. I bought the "Grand" in the end, on the basis that I could buy a smaller shallow pan for it. I think I'll get the shallow pan too, but I'll wait until I', placing an online order so I can get a free gift.

We're having roast chicken for dinner today and I'm going to try and do it all in the Remoska.

We've chosen our paving, and have marked out the size of the new seating area (we're going to do that bit first). I've ordered a design DVD from Bradstone which purports to have CAD facilites so I can design all three areas that need paving. We can then order the material.

I'm going to do major housework tomorrow, so I'll be tidying through today so I can make fast progress tomorrow. Have one load of washing on, hope the weather stays dry long enough.

Probably going to see inlaws in Wales at the end of the week. We haven't been for...a very long time. In the last few years I've left it to DH to organise, in the sure knowledge that he won't get round to it. However, I want to go to Cornwall for a few days, and DH mentioned that we hadn't seen his rellies for ages...so it seems that we have to do the duty visit first.

Well. mujst get on. Have a good day everyone xxxx

Harry Potter was fantastic, you were so right Queenie, Imelda Staunton certainly does the character justice - and some. On the surface, very prim and proper, but simmering beneath the surface, an evil witch. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't make more of the emotional impact the death of the *ehem* key character, and also that they didn't feature Neville Longbottoms character development with the hospital scene - but all in all a brilliant adaptation. I'm chomping at the bit for the book now. 6 days and counting. :j

DD1 had a fantastic day, and all the girls were brilliant - really well behaved and such good fun when back at the house. Only one girl got a bit upset during the film, but two others had their arms round her for the rest of the film. They have all known each other since preschool, and its lovely to see that they all remain such good friends.

Morning all............(((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) to those who need one...............

Is a wet soggy, horrid morning, we were going to an open gardens day in deepest Leicestershire, almost Northamptonshire, but not if its raining!!!!!

Have preped the veg and crumble for supper, roast chicken and all the trimmings, followed by Rhubarb, balckcurrant and raspberry crumble.....

The hall downstairs smells of bleach and disinfectant, have not seen Emily so can only assume that she has stayed at her daughters.....so glad we live upstairs.

Not much else to report, although I did get a message from paypal last night re the plate rack I paid for but did not get. They have got my money back and it will be deposited into my card account in the next 5 working days, so hopefilly will be back in on Friday.....RESULT, but now I do not have a plate rack for the kitchen...................will have to start searching all over again!!!!

I found a tin with some antiwax in yesterday, just rubbed a bit into the wall unit in the sitting room, it looks very nice this morning, so will be taking all the stuff off and having a good go at it, the wood was very dry, it had been used in a kitchen so guess the wood had dried out...........

    see y'all later.............................
