Personally when using layman's terms I'd say I have "8 meg" broadband with a transfer limit of "40 gig" a month. If you want you can call either of them "bandwidth", but it's not really a useful term, "speed" and "transfer allowance" are even easier for a layman to get his head around than "bandwidth".

Yes, those were the words and I'm fairly sure they aren't 'I know more than you'. They were an answer to a question about wether I had any 'Computer education' - now I'm not 100% on the meaning of that.

As to wether I am a liability certain merchant banks don't seem to be under that impression...
