Hello Albertross,
Did the above but it didn't say which router I'm using only IP address,Subnet Mask and Default Gateway but I'm still keeping my eye on that 360 anyway!!
Regards,
D (and Hugh)
Type the default gateway address (should be something like 192.168.1.1) into the address bar of Internet Explorer and hit return. This should take you the the admin web page of your router.0 -

thanks ubergeek,
getting "Access denied". Problem is probably the wrong username or password. Whatever next! however I suspect the router is Hasbani Conextant but it doesn't say on the router or in the guide. Very odd.

What experience? To me when I think of computer science it has got nothing to do with building pcs, fixing them or solving software problems. It's about the development of information and computation theories and implementations. In fact I think the term "computer science" is a bit of a misnomer. A lot of it overlaps with electronic engineering and I wouldn't have thought that was worthless.

Hey ho. I'm surprised nobody who supposedly "knows anything about computers" has mentioned something sensible:
Bandwidth of for example a filter, a is the difference between the upper and lower cutoff frequencies of for example a communication channel or a signal spectrum, and is typically measured in hertz.
As used in earlier posts you're variously referring to either throughput, bitrate or "total data transferred per month".
(And yes, Computer Science is basically a lot of engineering, a lot of mathematics, a bit of physics, some psychology, linguistics and social science...not a lot to do with plugging bits of hardware together or getting Microsoft software to work).

I'm beginning to feel sorry I mentioned Hugh Bandwidth now.0

So saying bandwidth is essentially speed (rather than amount of data) in a data system isn't sensible? Just because people may have been using layman's terms instead of copying and pasting a wikipedia definition doesn't mean they've somehow got it wrong. And for most end users of broadband trying to explain in purely communication engineering terms is less sensible than explaining it as simply as possible. Unfortunately it's one of those terms that covers so much now that trying to give any kind of strict de facto definition is meaningless in itself and it varies depending upon context."She is quite the oddball.
