  • I spent most of this weekend getting together a meal plan list for next month ensuring a mix of new healthy meals. I have also decided to reintroduce Pilates into my exercise regime, I remember how relaxed it used to make me so I will be doing this just before bedtime to hopefully get a decent nights sleep and also to work on my core and posture.

I have also looked on youtube and found some HIIT workouts; I did one last night and not only was I sweating buckets but my heart was pounding. I will be building up my endurance for this over the next few weeks. My goal for the first week of June to be able to do 20mins or more.

    Monday food & exercise

B: 2 egg spinach & mushroom omelette and a coffee
    L: Salmon & peas
D: Goat's cheese, beetroot & tuna salad (plus mixed baby leaf lettuce and cucumber with a HM dressing of balsamic vinegar, olive oil & honey)
S: 150g, plum toms, 2 kallo rice cakes with 20g cashew nut butter, 1 cup raspberries, 1 piece dark choc
    E: Walked 11,417, miles 4.31, burned 1871, ate 1740cals (est), carbs 82g, 20 mins Pilates

The Pilates is one that I pulled off youtube, Lynne Robinson Weekly workout part 1. It was really good and I felt so relaxed after. I quite liked this workout and thought is was over too soon I couldn't find a part 2 or 3 on youtube so I may invest in her DVD. I will also be checking out a few of her other youtube vids as well.
Woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, also managed more HIIT this morning and pushed myself a bit further too. Oh what a good night's sleep can do!!!

    Tuesday food & exercise

B: 3 egg spinach & mushroom omelette and a coffee
L: Goat's cheese, beetroot & tuna salad (plus mixed baby leaf lettuce and cucumber with a HM dressing of balsamic vinegar, olive oil & honey)
    D: Carbonara
S: 200ml cup filled with blueberries, black grapes & a strawberry, 150g plum tomatoes, a pear, ginger&lemon tea and coffee
    E: Walked 13,059, miles 4.99, burned 1914, ate 1634cals (est), carbs 82g, 7 mins HIIT

I also had my monthly team meeting so I made sure that I ate breakfast before I left the house and even though the smell of the croissants was amazing I was able to resist them as I wasn't really that hungry. So I snacked on a small cup of fruit with my coffee so I didn't feel like I was left out.

First time trying an almond wrap today. Was pleasantly surprised. Texture is somewhere between a wrap and a pancake
we have somewhere similar to this here in Sheffield. The place is called Nourish. They do seriously delicious healthy food. Best of all is all the calories/nutritional information & ingredients are available to read on the menu.

  • Wow that looks amazing! I am loving the pictures too. The place I go to is just a stall in the local market that also has its own website. I have been talking to the owner and you can hear the passion as she speaks about her food.
She is considering bottling and selling her own mayo and ketchup. I would definitely buy that!

They are a really great little "takeaway" (so to speak). I dont go that often (more because i prefer to bring in lunch & because i cant afford to shell out £25 a week on lunches ! ) but i do like to go for a treate every now & again. They also changed their menu season to season - making the most of seasonal veggies. :)
