Yeah I watch Can't Pay now, when I first started on the forums I wouldn't watch it as I was scared what I would see.
Now I know I can keep them away by my regular payments and know that if anyone takes me court I can genuinely turn up and say/prove that I'm paying what I can. And that will be enough to keep those bailiffs out if my life.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

'd like to bump this thread in memory of pensioner Malcolm Burge who commited suicide due to an £800 debt owed to Newham council. How terribly sad he couldn't find the right help in time.
If you know anyone affected in this way, please try get them the right help. it makes me wonder how to include the non-digital generation.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Many people in debt have given up broadband, and their T.V . Lots of others living in bedsits/studios' have never had the internet at home . I live in a small city and there is now just 1 main library open with no evening access. there are 3 others open for 2 hours, early, twice a week . the library was the place to go for advice and internet access, to keep warm and see another face . The main library is now taken over by students doing their work . Who are going to help these people? How will these people know who to approach for help? How do these people find out about food banks etc This all just makes me feel so sad and useless .old enough for my bones to feel the cold .0
