Well, day 2 of the holidays and DS2 is bored!
I am flying - slowly. Its too flippin hot to do anything much. The dog is driving me batty, its too hot to walk him and he is a bit restless, I keep having to move him out of my way to do anything!
Off to do half an hour in our bedroom then find something to feed the family with.
Happy birthday for tomorrow Fizz - in case I forget!0 -
Happy birthday for tomorrow Fizz, and huge congratulations and well done MummyRoysof3. I hope Ginge is doing a little better Mumto5; thinking of you all.
Have a lovely, lovely holiday Valli.
Minimalist flying here; the place is relatively clean, tidy-ish and it's summer. I need a break from it all for a day or three.Better is good enough.0 -
Congratulations and well done Mummyroysof3 :TLW, how did the kitchen fitters' visit go?
Hooligans have now gone home and I've taken the opportunity to use the NEW Dys0n.:D
Just waiting for Button to arrive; but I got a text a few mins ago from the franchisee to say the M1 is gridlocked, so just have to wait and see when they get here. I called Mr LW and told him, as a lot of the chaps in his office travel on the M1 to get home.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Back in to report.......major wrestle with the BD today, haven't even been able to set foot outside to peg out and reload WM or open front door to get the post, so had to ring and reschedule DS's Eye Horsepiddle appointment to Monday when hopefully I might be able to chain the BD up enough to deal with it.
Flying wise, I have washed and scrubbed mold from DR floor, blasted with 50/50 vinegar and water from steam mop, and rinsed with V@x carpet washer with clean water....windows open and doors shut.....tonight I will take dehumidifier in there to take as much moisture out as I can.
Kitchen has had DW re-fed, one sinkful of WUDUPA, another sinkful having a bubblebath, 3 work top runs de-gibbled and cleaned.......the breads and spreads cupboard has had a bit of an overhaul  I have now put all the jams, marmalades and lemon curd jars in a plastic basket so I can drag out the basket and any sticky circles from the jars will stay in the basket and not in a massive Venn Diagram on the cupboard shelfchocolate-y type spreads and nutty butters are now in another plastic basket.....all half eaten cereal boxes brought down from top shelf and cut down to fit on bottom shelf (hopefully it will encourage DD3 to eat more if she doesn't have to drag a chair out to get up there) dregs of 3 cereal bowls or less put into lidded plastic pots to encourage these to be used first.....all doors and shelves in breads and spreads have been washed, and shelves lined with silicone coated baking parchment.
Rang pharmacy put in my repeat scrip. Skyped DD1 to check what time her flight comes in tomorrow night, going to be 11.30 ish so hopefully it will be quite quiet by then.
Tomorrow am have Emotional Muscles Group to try to shut the BD up, so fingers crossed I can get myself and everyone else up and out of the door.
Going to do some online flying now for school uniform for DD3 for September, then I might throw the young Skints in the bath and have a quick flutter round in there......right, will aim to be back later :wave:The cold never bothered me anyway0 -
:T :T :T Congratulations mummyroys :T :T :T
Today's tasks:
-[STRIKE] empty kitchen compost bin
- water the pot plants and tomatoes
- finish editing Unit 4
- wrap and post books[/STRIKE]
- mow the lawn
- filing and tidying in the study bedroom
- finish introductory leaders' notes and lists of materials for Units 1 2 3 4
- quick spray of clay tea light holders made by the Old Wives, just to give them a bit of sparkle (not on the candles)
- start a box for the Old Wives crafts
Will go and put chicken in the oven and leave it to roast while I mow the lawn.
I must do the introductory notes for Units 1 and 2 this evening and email them to the person who is running the course next week.
DH went out to his committee meeting this afternoon, only to find that it's next week
He then went to the model railway shop, only to realise that it's closed on Thursdays
He did remember to get the newspaper for the @ld1 voucher
ETA: Skinty, I am throwing a stick for your BD *now* as far out into the sea as I can, and will chuck a few more tomorrow. Do you know that you are one amazing Flylady? - you put me to shame with your cleaning and tidying, not to mention keeping up with the Skintkids. Hope you feel better by the weekend. Love the Venn Diagram!0 -

Happy Birthday Fizz!
Lynne, is it your birthday too? Or have I mis-read something on the thread? Hope you have a lovely weekend away.
Honey Bear, I forgot to say how pleased I am for you that your whiffy lodger has cancelled - much easier for you than having to tell him he can't renew his booking.
More sticks thrown for your BD, Skinty. I know you find your group meeting hard work, so please do something nice afterwards - maybe go and throw stones in the sea with the young Skints?
Did most of my list yesterday: the garden looks much better for having mown the lawn, and I kept my promise to finish and email the course leader's notes. Today I am up bright and early (well, early! It's cloudy rather than bright, but I did wake up unaided) so I'm making the most of the cool air and sitting here with the curtains and windows wide open and getting my head round the last few bits of paperwork and filing before starting the fun jobs
Today's list:
- finish introductory leaders' notes and lists of materials for Units 3 and 4
- filing and tidying in the study bedroom - which is now officially a tip!
- put Old Wives' crafts away in their box now that the spray paint is dry
- make up one complete resource box and as much as possible for 2 more
- order more polystyrene spheres
- write and post letter to Germany
- meal planning and shopping list for tomorrow
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Morning everyone - up early too - am showered, dressed and eating breakfast! Want to do HHI before it gets too hot!!
Then got important phone call to do before vol job 1 second shift of the week.
On way home - more banking - 3 banks again!! The situation is improving however and more importantly I now know how much we have saved for holidays!!!
Not sure what I'll do this pm - more paperwork or sorting and perhaps the bathroom tiles and windows as the sun will have gone round the other side of the house by then.
We had a lovely evening last evening - sitting in the garden eating our meal and then reading until late. It was so peaceful.
Well done Mummyroysof3.
Have a great day everyone and sticks, stones and hugs to anyone needing them - take from the stash I have here as required. xxJuly 16 £95/£200
Nov 16 £0/£200
