  • Another citreon GS Club 1.2 air cooled (well, air non-cooled) here. Hours spent waiting for the thing to cool down, or replacing the exhausts, hated it!

Spent longer in pieces than it did together.

In 2007 I bought a 97 ford fiesta. It was dark green, had pale biege interior with plenty of fag holes in and had mould growing under the back seat....

I scrapped it 4 years later.

A VW Beetle - original F reg. It was a 6 volt version so if I had the lights on at all I had to re-charge the battery overnight :rotfl:

Metallic red Metro Vanden Plas (the one with the 71hp MG engine sans oil cooler) C553JMB.

Cost me £600 to buy, £600 to insure (I was 21) and I p/x it for £600 after it needed, guess what, £600 of work doing on it.

Brilliant car. Only needed half choke to start and didn't like having the choke out to drive at all. Went really well on the half lead petrol that Shell sold for a while (gives you an idea as to how long ago it was).

Got an indicated ton out of it on the M53, shaking like mad.

Only fault it really had was the oil pressure sensor didn't like left turns...

Got a 214SLi after that. Also a great car for me, until I wrote it off rear ending someone on the A55... :(
