But its not a question of being "shallow". The current car I have is underpowered to the point of being nearly dangerous. And it returns poop fuel economy as well as having similar but smaller, more effecient and more powerful equivelents. It doesnt bother me too much I didnt buy it and dont run it. But im not shallow for saying theres better out there.

However you said I would say, and the fact is I won't say, it's not me buying or running the car, so it doesn't affect me. What is better to one person is not better to another, it's not a matter of one hat fits all and every car is ranked the same by all motorists.

    Anyway,

    About car heaters?

    How do they work?

A few people have ventured a explanation of how they work, but they are apparently wrong.

    Can anybody help enlighten us?

Isn't this thread about stop/start anymore? For pages it just seems to be an ongoing argument:(

I would be interested to know the opinions of anyone who has a Ford Ka with this as I am thinking of buying one, but don' really like the idea of the engine stopping:eek:
Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

First off try it, take it for a good run, make sure its upto temp, when stopping or just stopped foot on clutch gear in neutral and release clutch the engine will cut out, then press clutch again to start the car back up. if you don't want stop start to kick in then hold clutch down.

my dad has got used to stop start very quickly in his kia ceed. it frightened him the first few times as he had forgotten it was there, now he expects it.

But to deny the fact vehicles are better doesnt make sense. Cars are a better method of transport than walking. Or is that not the case because people take enjoyment from walking?
And then there are specifications that are better which is the manufacturers own deciding. The prices will reflect this.

Topdaddy, I noticed you completely ignored my post!

Just in case you missed it, I've repeated it here ;).

    You are wrong.

I described my list well, I really don't understand the pathetically poor argument you're attempting to make.

Well, I'm finding you're posts hilarious. You can't argue to save you're life and everyone here is laughing at your inability to both form a decent argument and back down and admit when you're wrong. I suppose you may as well have a laugh too.

Also, the fact that you have ignored my comment about shooting yourself in the foot yet again.

Can you blame me? Its says nothing. Youve shot your self in the foot? By stating my source(although this was also stated obviously when "google" was written)? Seems I was just reiterating but that was unsurprisingly missed. So in conclusion, your list is imperfect, but you did do as you was told and compiled on which is commendable. The over egging of the pudding by yourself was your undoing. Perfect? No, because you told us it was incomplete. So near but yet so far. Well done for trying.

But to put this to bed complete the following: The X6 is such a good design that the following brands have copied and/or have comparable competive vehicles:........

to purcase something for an amount which could get them a better vehicle is rather foolish wouldnt you agree?

So, based on what you say you put, compared to what you actually put (below) are you :-

    (a) a compulsive liar?
    (b) deluded?
    (c) completely unaware of how ignorant you actually are?
    (d) a troll?
