Unhappy With Postage Charged By Seller & Actual Postage Seller Paid

Are you new to the internet? It seems relatively prevalent, so prepare yourself if you visit other websites. Obligatory;)
Perhaps Plumface does have the right to put others down. I fear I'm too polite mostly but I may apply for a pass to do so too.
Now that is condescending, but I didn't expect anything less. It may be common to happen, but I find it disgusting. What right do you, plumface, or anyone have, to mock others for spelling? Are you hinting the guy is and eejit without actually saying it, being eloquent with your words?
Well that just makes them as bad as everyone else.Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -
So to get things straight.
You complained to the mods and wanted a post removed because its contents were 'vile' and were against forum rules.
You then think it appropriate to re post that item?
Anyway, rude....perhaps
Condescending......maybe
Vile.......Unbelievable
Bullying....Get a life
Now answer the question
Guy walks into pub and says to his mate
"i saw 10 of those widgets i need on ebay at £5 plus each £3.50 p&p"
His mate says
"WHAT,£35 for p&p, you are being ripped off"
next day same guy walks into pub and sees his mate again.
"i took your advice, i'm not being ripped off so i didnt buy those 10 widgets,i went to another seller who was selling them at £85 and i didnt have to pay any thing for p&p"
His mate said
"i hope you bit his arm off, thats a bargain!"
Please explain the rip off?
Lets get this straight.
You have continuously attacked my posts (from post #115) You have been quoting me, and making sly digs? Have you not? This 'conversation' wouldn't of happened otherwise.
Least you have admitted you did say that comment now. Couldn't really deny it anymore, could you?
You did make a sly dig about my 'signature' so I did to yours. Though as you have kept denying you said it. I found it in Google. Was to prove a point. Nothing else, nothing less. You did keep saying I couldn't 'prove it'. So I did.
I would of had more respect if you actually went. You know what, yes I said it.
So,
Yes. Rude
Yes. Condescending
Yes. Vile
Yes. Bullying (you picked out a post to mock, because of a spelling error)
I can't believe were on this topic still, when I have replied about 6 times with a answer.
Anyway, the rip off is. If your going to CHARGE FOR A SERVICE in postage and packing. Then you expect to get a service for what you have paid. You don't expect to seller to make up any number they like. They can't do that, hence the reason you can report sellers for doing just that. You can report them for continuously doing so. Which has resulted in some sellers losing the account.
For example this thread is about a seller charging £12, when really the postage was £3.90. That is a rip off. If you pay £12, you expect a £12 service of postage and packing. As after all, you have agreed to pay this, for that very reason. When you find out it is £3.90. You then have been overcharged on this SERVICE. All 'costs' should be put in the listing, if this happened. That would of been up to the buyer, if they want to pay for £8.10 'costs'. Then we wouldn't of have this thread, would we?
However, if your offering 'free postage' then you can charge what you like. Your NOT OFFERING A SERVICE. If the buyers are silly enough to pay them prices, either way. The that's up to them. However this is a fair way, for MOST BUYERS. As you know the 'costs'. When you charge, you are agreeing to the costs, because if you pay £12 postage, you expect it to be at least over £9 (as there is packaging costs) You are not agreeing to pay £12 for a £3.90 service.
But for me personally. No I wouldn't buy any of them. I know the things I buy. I know the prices. I know the postage costs. I don't engage with bad sellers. I do know I can wait a while, then I can find it cheaper elsewhere, with reasonable postage.
What I said above, that is aimed at a wide range of buyers. I do think it's fair for them as a whole. If they want to pay silly prices, then think they are getting a bargain, good for them. I have the issue with charging for a service, that is made up (most of the time). If your not charging for a service, then do what you like. It's up to the buyer to decide if that's 'fair'.
It's against our rules to provide unclear or misleading delivery information or to charge unreasonable fees for postage and related services.

Now I don't recall I did. I was merely asking where one applied for a permit to do so.ToThePoint wrote: »Now that is condescending, but I didn't expect anything less. It may be common to happen, but I find it disgusting. What right do you, plumface, or anyone have, to mock others for spelling?
Perhaps some could use better terminology but surely there is nothing wrong in having an ideal that everyone should be able to spell correctly and use correct grammar?
Why do you have the right to condemn others for condemning others for misspelling?
Now I shall let you get on with your futile arguments.
Why they couldn't have given you a long project to do over the summer holidays is beyond me.:p.0 -

I never said you did. I said "what right do you".
It may be an 'ideal' to some. Doesn't mean they should be put down because of it. I think it's pretty damn vile to pick someone out for it. So surely there is also nothing wrong in having an 'ideal', that everyone should be able to have some manners?
As for your question. Why do you have the right to condemn others for condemning others for misspelling?
Well it's basic manners, is it not? There's a wide range of different people out there. You don't know that person behind that post. So to mock them for spelling errors, is pretty damn vile. Now, that is school ground bullying!
I've even saw posts being mocked in another thread, and what did the poster do. Resort to saying 'sorry'. That's the mentality of it.
I'd like to ask then. What right do you have to condemn my posts??Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -
This thread is bonkers. No one posting on it comes out of it well. The very worst of the internet.0

Conversely you don't know the person correcting them, they may have a disorder to go around correcting spelling and you're bullying them back.ToThePoint wrote: »As for your question. Why do you have the right to condemn others for condemning others for misspelling?

I agree about the state of this thread, although I feel as though I have paid for the full half hour and not just the five minute argument:D.0 -

As I asked before (think you forgot to answer).
What right do you have to condemn my posts??
That could also be bullying. As you don't know the person behind these posts? Your making a point to pick out my posts, but not anyone's else's.
If they have a disorder to go around and correct spelling. Then wouldn't their posts be full of quotes correcting the words? Or we could just say, maybe they are just plain ignorant.Always open a case if your unhappy with a transaction :money:0 -

This could go on a while, I may let my two year old join in to add a bit of age to the argument.:D.0
