  • He could have used them to masturbate.

It doesn't really matter though. What matters is the total lack of trust in your relationship. That is something you both need to deal with.

    StuC75 what do you mean.

He's referring to Private mode browsing that is a feature of most of the major web browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) that doesn't record your history while you're browsing.

    Sorry is this Mumsnet ?

"I'm afraid I'd be carrying out a major intelligence operation including hacking emails, checking credit card bills and phone records if I could get them. Whilst I agree that trust is paramount, something as unexplainable as this, coupled with the circumstances, and his history and secretive behaviour would mean my trust in him would be compromised beyond a level at which I'd be able to let things go."

Oh yes Tropez I know what you're saying but isn't that the same as just clearing all history for the day?

Ive even tested it out and put a pair of undies inside the cover when I washed it and you would never know they were there, so they could have been there for a long time.

Sorry to say it, I'm normally the first to jump to the "there may be another explanation..." - but I just can't see this.

Yes, knickers might get washed with a duvet and end up inside...but this is much less likely if you button up the duvet to be washed - which you do.

Yes, you might just fold them up and never notice...but sticking the duvet back in, you might well feel the knickers when straightening it out...most people shake their duvet to make it fit snug..they'd surely fall out then? But they *could* stay on the bed after that...and you *could* not notice...and you *could* not cause them to fall out when you remove the duvet again it...

And all of that stuff *could* happen over and over for a year. And you *could* forget that you ever owned that underwear.

But it just doesn't seem likely...

This is why I'm find it hard to believe they were stuck inside the duvet cover, after I have buttoned the duvet cover before washing it.

It does a bit more than just clearing the history as when the session is finished it clears temporary internet files, cookies, searching history, download list entries, doesn't store any password information and clears all session cache.

Basically, if you only cleared the history, what you had been doing on the computer could be discovered by anyone else who used it after you. If you use Private Browsing, no other user of the computer without qualifications in forensic computing are going to uncover what you've done on it. It's as if it has not been used for the Internet at all.

Which is why the computer might say he hasn't visited his email address for three weeks, but if he's done it privately he could have done it twenty minutes before you checked and it would still say three weeks.

If he is seeing someone and if that someone knows he's with you, I find it very believable that she would have planted something for you to find.

I am very suspicious over the fact he didn't have a cig that morning - let alone a pair of drawers in the bed!

Did you ring him at all while you were away that night?

Google the design. See if you can work out where they're from and when they were on sale there.
