I might forget I had a certain pair for a while, but I would recognise them if I came across them. As for the emails, I cant remember the last time either I or DH went on our laptop! Everything gets checked on our phones. And re: ironing the duvet, I've never done that! Nobody sees it except DH and I, and we dont care as long as its clean.

I'd let it go if they are your size, something you would buy, and with the label cut out since this is what you do. It seems to be a coincidence.

I checked history and nothing there, unless he had cleared it off.
People do that in a loving relationship? Why?

If I ever found myself wanting to look at a partner's internet browsing history (or text messages, or email etc) then my first thought would be "why am I in this relationship?" Same if they wanted to look at mine, it would indicate it was time to split up.

It may seem far fetched but it isn't I can assure you.

If these knickers were actually in the bed (not inside the duvet cover) then I would be going ape because IF they are mine I have no memory of wearing them so I couldn't have placed them there.

But if they were inside the duvet cover and fallen out when changing quilt cover this means that at some point they have got tangled up in the washing machine, which means that I should assume that they were mine.

I do think it's possible for things to hide in duvet covers for ages. I found a gym sock in the corner of a duvet cover that had been washed, hung out and used at least 10 times since it got in there. I knew it had been there ages as at the time I'd had a prolonged break from the gym so the sock must have been hiding for a couple of months at least.

But - you don't recognise the underwear, don't cut labels out usually, and already have enough suspicion to check browsing history. What does that tell you?

    A few things.

Yes, I would recognise my own knickers because I always buy boring ones from M&S. However, if I was the type to buy a whole load from different shops in different styles then I think that I could forget which ones I might have owned previously.

Also, if I was having an affair I definitely wouldn't be leaving my knickers behind in the guy's bed. Apart from the risk of getting caught, wouldn't it be draughty going home?

So I think they're either yours and you forgot about them (and yes, I have had things get tangled up in the duvet covers), or your partner bought them for himself - either to wear or perhaps for other gratuitous purposes. Either way, I'd forget about it unless you have other suspicions.

Have you washed the duvet at a launderette where these might have been picked up?

If the label has been cut out, how do you know they are your size?

Never used a different washing machine.

If they are mine and did come from out of the duvet cover then its a massive coincidence
