Absolutely. All of mine matches and I'd have spent ages wondering why I now had a bra that nothing matched.

I suppose that makes sense then. I don't tend to match my underwear with anything... not since all those complaints, anyway.

hieveryone.....no this is not a wind up! I dont know if they came out of the duvet cover, let me try and explain again.

    Duvet is on the bed
I take out the duvet from the cover and throw the duvet on the floor
While the duvet cover is still on the bed I start to do the buttons up, so nothing gets tangled in the cover when I put it in the machine.
While I'm doing up the buttons I find the knickers on the bed, I'd say towards the bottom.
So I dont know if the knickers fell out when I pulled the duvet out from the cover or they were actually in the bed.

So what I am saying is this.....I want to believe that they fell out of the duvet cover, so the explanation would be clear, obviously got tangled up in the wash, a long time ago.

But if they were in the bed and not in the duvet cover then someone has def been in my bed!

Like I said Im never going to know.

Ive even tested it out and put a pair of undies inside the cover when I washed it and you would never know they were there, so they could have been there for a long time.
Its just the timing, I have used this duvet cover many times and the knickers haven't came out when I've taken the duvet out, so just seems odd to me.

I really really do not know if they belong to me, I wish I did then I wouldn't be asking you guys....my heart says they are but my head is telling me different.

Also I get what you are saying about washing the covers, I do this reg so this is why I'm wondering if they were in the quilt cover why has it taken so long for them to fall out.

    Sorry if Im confusing everyone

Yes it is confusing, and I can't see pants being tangled up in a duvet cover - don't you iron them?

Have you had them on in the last few nights? More so, have you taken them off in bed in the last few nights?

If answers are no to above, they're not yours.

If they WERE yours, I doubt you'd have started this thread.

Been together 18months. Oh I've just remembered something, this quilt/duvet cover is only about a year old! Which means if they were mine I must have worn them at least a year ago for them to get tangled in the wash! Im sure I would remember them from a year ago, black with pink roses!!!

    I feel worse now :(

This particular cover doesn't need ironing, was thinking if it did I prob would have noticed them.

At the end of the day lotty you have two options. Either to bring it up with him in a jokey way and say you cant believe what you found in the duvet - another womens knickers and check his reaction. OR forget it. But for peace of mind I think you need to ask him outstraight.

Is the duvet cover a similar colour to the underwear? ie. would they have been likely to be in the washing machine at the same time?

Are they from a shop that you would buy from?
