On the 28th of may It was the worst day of my life,at 06;00 I heard a loud bang screaming I was confused I got up straight in the hall in front of the door and I realize police are trying to get inn,I was so scared I will never forget that day, they were banging the door and the glass and pieces of wood were flying towards me I wanted to go and open the door but I was scared and I kept saying stop Ill open the door but no they had to use a chain saw and it took them more than 3-4 minutes to get in,talk about POLICE INTELLIGENCE,it would have been easy for me to open the door and quickly for them to get inn and I wouldn't be in this mess now,. Council now wants 500,1/3 of it from me to replace the door, and I don't think is right,If I had 5 millions on my I still would hesitate because I was begin them to stop-Ill open the door but no,and If I had drugs or cash I had at least 3-4 minutes to eat them it just ridiculous, then I found out they had followed all this boys from this estate for 5 months and that got me even more cross POLICE INTELLIGENCE should have known that in this flat lives a lady with no criminal record no drugs no alcohol and two young boys ok the oldest one got him self involved with drugs but be more considerate with us and they know me very well those officers who are always around the estate, since my son left school he was most of the time out no job, I knew something is going to happen so I was all the time out looking for him I had searched him all the time my self, told him talked to him I was on his back day and night because I see what is going on around hear, but he just didn't want to listen and he sold drugs to under covers, now he is on remand and he turned 18,two weeks after he was arrested. I wish to god no one has to go through something like this, the pain is just to much for me.
and this is the reason that I feel it is not fair to make me pay for the door, they should bill the police

But your son was dealing with drugs - he sold to undercover officers AMONG OTHERS - he's the person who should pay for the door!
I'm sorry - but he has to take responsibility for the actions of the police - had he not been dealing, they would not have knocked down your door.0 -
i know but they came down hard i think:eek: linda0

The idea of a police "raid" is surprise - if they knock politely on the door, it would have given your drug-dealing son time to dispose of any drugs he might have had in the house. You have to accept the fact that it is your son who was in the wrong - and, frankly, you should have come down hard on him a lot earlier!0

What goes on under your roof is your responsibility. You knew your vile son was dealing drugs so it is no surprise you get the Police raid your home. If your drug dealing scum of a son continues then expect lots more calls from the Police in the future. Instead of whinging on this forum about the Police go and whinge that you allowed your vile son to deal in drugs.
I thought your post was a troll in action when you said that in your flat lives a lady with no criminal records and then go on that your 17 year old son lives with you and he is a lowlife scum drug dealer.
So POLICE INTELLIGENCE was 100% correct. Your flat contained a drug dealer - your son. I am very very happy that the Police smashed down your door and have taken a drug dealer off the street. I hope he ends up in prison. You are lucky your landlord doesn't evict you for allowing drug dealing to take place under your roof.
So stop whinging. You should be ashamed for having a evil drug dealing son and you should be proud that the Police have removed such a vile creature from the streets. If I were his mother I would have reported him myself. These are my own views and you should seek advice from your local Benefits Department or CAB.0 -

Maybe not, if you have a young teenager who has been given/then sold drugs by a teenage drug dealer........0 -

i dont think its the OP fault that the son was involved in drugs kids these days make ther own choices in life im sure every parent out there wants the best for there children but i real life it does not always turn out like that i am sure the OP is ashamed that her son has caused this to happen that said the OP was looking for help and advice about being charged for the door. the police used what force they felt was necessary if your not happy with this then you can always make a complaint to the police.
that being said you can either ask the council to chase the son for the money (if the will do this) or you can pay it and then take him to small claims court but if you can't afford to pay all the money at once ask them to come up with a repayment plan0 -
The Police wouldn't have taken this drastic (and costly) action if it was merely a few lads touting weed. It's obviously a persistant problem of hard drugs on a significant scale.
Unless your son sorts himself out and tries to live within the boundaries of the law and decent society then you, OP, will one day - possibly sooner rather than later - be visiting him either in prison or at the cemetary.
Assuming this is not trollposting.0 -

Because the mother said so :-the oldest one got him self involved with drugs but be more considerate with us and they know me very well those officers who are always around the estate, since my son left school he was most of the time out no job, I knew something is going to happen so I was all the time out looking for him I had searched him all the time my self, told him talked to him I was on his back day and night because I see what is going on around hear, but he just didn't want to listen and he sold drugs to under covers, now he is on remand and he turned 18,two weeks after he was arrested.
She still blames the police, instead of accepting the responsibility herself - that's why I'm cross!0
