Still waiting for mine from 12/07.

Opted for BA miles. Was promised them in March and then May.

Absolute joke of a scheme and never had any customer service at all.

Because of this I now go and buy petrol elsewhere even though it costs me more. At least others know how to run a decent loyalty scheme. I do not want to give Shell another penny.

The value of Shell's scheme is very poor anyway. If you want to collect AirMiles or BA miles then I would suggest Tescos. 2.4 BA or 24 Air Miles per £ spent not per litre and you can always use their Credit Card too for extra points.

i logged in to my account and thoudands of mine have gone missing again, ive emailed them nut not had much back again.
i dont use shell any more either,i used to use them every time as it was convenient and the points were stacking up,now i try my best to avoid shell at all costs. i think ive used them only 3 times this year and i fuel up twice a week.

  • Been trying to get registered since this started. Had 64,000 pluspoints before conversion. Now I have none!!

Email keeps bouncing back. Call centre doesn't always answer or cuts you off when it does.

Really helpful man (NOT) in call centre told me points has expired and no chance to get them back. When I asked that it be escalated he advised that a supervisor would get back to me in a week! Some customer service that is.

Anyone had any luck getting anything out of Shell from a complaint perspective? I'm close to giving up but it sticks in the throat to think I could've had my vouchers from pluspoints before this lot took over! Aaaagh!

i evetually after almost a year of asking managed to get £40 in shell vouchers from them,im sure i had much more than this before the conversion and hardly used shell with the new drivers club because of the points fiasco,i have now binned my shell loyalty card and try to fill up at other stations other than shell one,i use tesco mostly a get my vouchers through regularly from them.

  • I have loyally purchased Shell fuel for nearly 30 years but have only recently signed up for their Drivers Club. The first half a dozen transactions were OK, but on the last two no points were credited to my account, even though I watched the card being swiped. The first time Shell responded within 24 hours to my email and credited my account with slightly more points than I was due. The second time they have completely ignored my emails!

If their Drivers club is supposed to instill brand loyalty in their customers then this has not worked in my case as their total indifference to my problem has resulted in them losing a customer of 30 years standing!

Looks like BP from now on.
  • I had a similar experience. Actually, I signed up for Drivers Club earlier in the year and have had two quarters' worth of points converted to Airmiles no probs.
In August they sent me a V-Power card, but failed to link the account numbers, so no points for the last six weeks.
I emailed them 2 days ago, but no response yet...anyone got a phone number I can try?

Anyone here interested in starting up a petition or class action?
  • Don't do shell & BP anymore - They are the cause of this fuel pricing.

I hope no-one minds me resurrecting an older message thread ( i can see its been running for some time!) but I was wondering - Have there been any updates? Has anyone managed to get any of the points they are due or found a sensible way of communicating with Shell?
I am having very similar problems to those listed above - after a year of emails/phone calls etc am still trying to transfer my points. They tell you they will ring back but don't, they tell you the transfer is complete and how many vouchers you will receive - but you don't receive them....and don't get me started on how few garages have been swiping the card when it is handed over unless you watch them.
Although Shell is the most convenient cheapest site for me, i will no longer use them unless I am really low on fuel. However, whilst this solves the problems for the future (and am therefore collecting lots more Tesco deals points! :-) ) I am very reluctant to let Shell get away with the points previously built up.
Any (sensible!) suggestions for how to get a proper response from Shell or should i just give up?
  • I too had given up on Shell because of points issues, I started using Tescos instead. However, I started using them again about three weeks ago because of an offer I heard about in my Airmiles newsletter...500 points extra every time you fill up with 30 litres of Optimax fuel.
None of the bonus points have appeared on my account yet, but I'll wait till the end of the promotion period to see what happens. If I don't get these points there will be hell to pay as I've done about 12 lots of 30 litre purchases already. I'll keep you informed of my progress.
