Hey folks - some three months late and in two different letters - I finally got my Shell Pluspoints/Drivers Club vouchers.

Having received emails/letters in August saying they would arrive in September I guess this is pretty good for shell - having read everyone elses trials and tribulations.

    Here's hoping you get yours.

i was due mine in september aswell, still no sign of anything.

Still looks like SHELL don't care about their reputation ... I haven't had time to chase the missing points again yet ... but I am only reminded by this thread raising its ugly head again today that it is months since I emailed Bertelsmann about my missing points. I have however noticed that Shell have recently got their stations to sellotape some printed smallprint changes to Drivers Club/Pluspoints Ts and Cs at the payment window (as if we all get time to read them there ). Goodness knows what the changes do.

FWIW, SHELL's points website has always been totally awful (I mean like for years it has been awful/not working properly most of the time). I have always assumed that the IT manager responsible is just part-time or otherwise just way out of his or her depth and no-one has had the heart to tell him or her.

Anyone noticed how the Shell (and other CARTEL member's) fuel prices have soared since the Chancellor's last 2p when the general cheapest Shell price was 93.9p for diesel (it's now 104.9p).

It's a total racket and a ratchet (prices are ratcheted up on stories of record oil prices per barrel and never come down again).
  • anyone had any news on thier points yet?
    this is getting ridiculous now.

I recently sent an e-mail about missing points from my statement giving a list of dates/stations and amounts of fuel purchased. As I fuel 2 tanks using a Shell Card (usually 150 ltrs per tank and you only get points for te first 125 ) I do this as 2 transactions and both receipts state clearly on the bottom that points have been credited for both fills but more often as not only 1 transaction appears on my statement sometimes neither. Complaining does no good as they want proof of purchase (difficult when your receipt goes to head office for payment) Come on Shell play the Game

    Got mine this morning.

Letter dated February 2008 for points from transactions 01/10/07 to 31/12/07.

It's a scam, especially since they changed to drivers club.

I received £16 for three months worth of points. I used to get £10/month with V-power for same usage

Still waiting for mine from 12/07.

Opted for BA miles. Was promised them in March and then May.

Absolute joke of a scheme and never had any customer service at all.

Because of this I now go and buy petrol elsewhere even though it costs me more. At least others know how to run a decent loyalty scheme. I do not want to give Shell another penny.

The value of Shell's scheme is very poor anyway. If you want to collect AirMiles or BA miles then I would suggest Tescos. 2.4 BA or 24 Air Miles per £ spent not per litre and you can always use their Credit Card too for extra points.
