I too have been corresponding with Bertlesmann by email.
I was tidying up the other day and found a letter from Shell PlusPoints reminding me that some five thousand odd points would be converted to my Drivers Club account when it started.
So I checked my balance and discovered a bunch of extremely poorly accounted transactions totalling about 600 points which were mostly if not all purchases from June and July. No sign of a transfer.
So I contacted them by email and got a reply confirming it would be done immediately. That was a week ago. Still nothing.
Those of you who had pluspoints cards might surely recall that the website has been only intermittently available for years, and their previous "make more fuel purchases next month than you did last month and we'll give you XXX Bonus points" were a joke to follow up also.
I think the people at Shell suffer from some kind of catatonic disease whereby a week or a month in real time is but a blink of an eye in their's:rolleyes:
Probably comes with monitoring profits which rack up at the rate of over £400 per second :eek:0 -

I have just noticed that they've been into my Shell DriversClub account and doctored most of those June/July points transactions so they now show as zero points! Last week the same transactions showed various points numbers against each.
What on earth is going on? Shell/Bertlemann are not taking this points scheme seriously. It is surely false accounting?? At the very least it looks like they couldn't organise a Bunk up in a ... House of Pleasure ...0 -
Just been into my Shell account and 10,000 points have been deducted. Sent an Email asking where the benefit has been sent.0

i too have a similar problem,although i got an instant reply from customer services via email,he asked for my post code and my date of birth and said the points would be transfered within 48 hours.
also found a bit on the website where it offers you the chance to convert old pluspoints to new drivers club points but there doesnt seem to be a confirm or send button,just a button that says back???
i had thousands of pluspoints but my account only shows 388 points which have been accumulated on the new scheme.
this is so frustrating.

just checked my drivers club account,after days of emails and pestering i have now finally got my old plus points converted into drivers club points.

Just checked my balance and i now have 2400 points, although last week i had close to 6000. I was looking forward to receiving £40 of fuel vouchers, and now if their systems manage to function I'll be lucky to see a tenner.
I use 200+ litres a week and with the old pluspoints used to get £20 of vouchers every couple of months. 3 months with drivers club and i'll be lucky to see a tenner.
I've emailed them, but after reading comments on here I think my luck will be out. Total lack of customer service. I think i'll be ditching them too. I should have expected this after using their clunky website. :mad:0 -

it is the worst website i have ever seen,for such a big company.
does anyone know exactly how to redeem the points when you eventually get them?

The way I read it is, You need to select which reward you would like, then when you have enough points at the end of each quarter, your points are automatically redeemed.
Although, I do believe that once your points are redeemed, you do not hear or see anything for 3 months. Read the reply I've pasted below which I received from Shell today, and make your own mind up,
"Thank you for your correspondence regarding the Shell Drivers’ Club which has replaced Shell pluspoints.
We can confirm that points were deducted from your account in July for your automatic redemption. This is being processed now and you will receive your vouchers before the end of October."
So, the way i see it is like this. Points are deducted from my account in July, Points remain visable to me in my account until October. Points vanish from my account in October, although they were actually deducted in July. What a load of carp.
Why the hell did they not just take the points out of my account and post the vouchers to me at the end of the quarter. I do believe, as a previous poster said that Shell Driversclub have no concept of time, Although, according to the email, I should, hopefully receive my vouchers soon.
I vote drivers club the worst loyalty scheme around. How can anyone be loyal to a scheme like that (and before you say it, No I'm not, I just happens that my employers have an account with the local Shell garage, and I have my card swiped every time i fill up).
How it must hurt them to part with those precious vouchers.0 -
Hey folks - some three months late and in two different letters - I finally got my Shell Pluspoints/Drivers Club vouchers.
Having received emails/letters in August saying they would arrive in September I guess this is pretty good for shell - having read everyone elses trials and tribulations.

Just received a statement. 57,000 points (worth £285) disappeared from my account on 30th September and I have received no vouchers of any kind. The helpline is always "experiencing a very high volume of calls" and the website is primitive to say the least. I was hoping for some Argos vouchers for Christmas. No hope of that. It is a long time since I redeemed any points from Shell but I do remember under the old Shell Plus Points schme that the vouchers were sent out by recorded delivery. Does anyone know if that is still the case?0
