UKash Pre Paid travel Card

I find it interesting that people are saying they have recently received a communication from Ukash or they have contacted Ukash when Ukash is no more. It was acquired by Skrill back in April 2014 and is now merged into the Paysafecard.
Are you all certain that the communications are genuine? By now Ukash credit should have been merged into Paysafecard.

Before saying that we should empty cards and just leave them acquiring charges are we sure they can't invoice us for them one day? If the original T&C's stated charges could be changed (do we know for sure it's not in the small print, things like this usually are) when we signed up for the card then they are allowed to change fees. They do have my address after all!0

Yeah that's what I'm worried about Pete - hoping Martin and the team can come up with some help for us next week?0

Interested in your suggestion. You say you have done this with other prepay cards? How long ago? I just looked at the REVOLUT website to see if this would work for me and their FAQ section states:
"What card can I use to top up my Revolut account?
We currently only support debit cards to top. Unfortunately Maestro and pre-paid debit card's aren't supported."0 -

In the last month or two I topped up my Revolut with a few euros from FairFX (bought when the rate was high), and cleared the balance from my Talk Home CAT Card when it became CredecardPlus and began charging various fees. Earlier I cleared most of my OrangeCash card when it became Optimum, by loading it onto Revolut.Evolution, not revolution0 -
Further to my earlier post that you CANNOT use your Ukash card to top up your Revolut card apparently someone on my MH forum HAS managed to do it ... without any fees being charged as he just put it into his Revolut € funds, rather than convert to £.
I couldn't get it to work on MY Revolut card so I'll have to explore more why he could and I couldn't!0 -
I got this email today. You can cancel for free before April 10th. Otherwise dont leave any money on it and then dont use it.
Dear Customer,
Further to the earlier communication with regards to the change of name and fees on the Ukash Prepaid MasterCard® and the Ukash Prepaid Travel Card, please note that those changes only come into effect on 10th April 2016.
We are looking to improve the overall product offering and enhance service levels but we do understand that some customers may wish to close their card due to the change in fees.
With that in mind, we would like to confirm that we will be waiving the closure fee on the cards as long as the card is closed prior to 10th April, 2016.
If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to email us at ukash@prepaidfinancialservices.com

So ... you can either transfer them yourself to another card such as Revolut as detailed previously, or ask for the funds to be refunded to your original card/bank account (check there aren't any currency conversion fees if you do this though), then just close the account.
