Was working on your notes and realsied that I had mixed up 2005 and 2006 information.

Can you look at the list you wrote below and check that there is nothing missing

    Just checking the MCS stuff.

Apparently, on 17th Jan 2005 I phoned them up to leave them a new address (my mother's) and to ask them to issue me a new payment card (we had been paying at the Post Office). This note mentions NOTHING of my circumstances!

1st Feb. they received a letter from CAB who were working for me at that time. Unfortunately, CAB were so slow and disorganised (sorry, DebtDoctor) that my bank charges were piling up and I was faster sorting things out myself. So the letter from CAB surely must have outlined my circumstances once again.

10th Feb I wrote and said I had moved back home.

On 26th April, guess what - they called wanting to INCREASE my payments! I was paying £100 per month.

23rd June 2005 I asked payments to be reduced from £100 to £75.

 Was there any contact fom them between June 2005 and May 2006?

29th May 2006 they asked for payments to be increased again. (They phoned)

1st August - they sent letter asking for increase.

21st August 2006 (I was mad at this point) - phone call from me to say can't manage £75 per month as no job.

4th Sep 2006 - they phoned and hassled.

27th Sep - they sent letter asking for full repayment (how helpful! to someone who was unable to leave the sofa)

30th October - payments down to £20 per month

3rd Jan 2007- letter re increase

15th Jan - phone call re increase

5th March - letter re increase

18th March - phone call re increase

I've paid nothing from April - September and have just sent the £1 per month details and have had no reply.......

Yes, there are a few calls/letters I missed out.

29th Sep 2005 - MCS called me demanding an increase in payments (was paying £75 at the time)

6th Oct - I phoned MCS for balance and statements (for the financial side of my divorce). These never came.

10th Oct - MCS log says statements were sent to me.

15th Dec - I phoned to request balance in writing (for divorce - AGAIN)

20th Dec - I phoned MCS about balance (AGAIN). MCS's log states that I told them I had phoned twice already! This time I demanded they send a fax to my work as I was running out of time.

20th Dec - I phoned again (!) and asked why fax had not been sent.

20th Dec - MCS phoned me and said fax had been sent.

While I'm in a moaning mood, I'm having a piggy day here. Little son is ill (cold) and is waking up every half hour or so to have a good cry about it. Big son is staying awake (who can blame him).

The ex is now officially a parent governor. He lied on his application form and said he works as a teaching assistant. All his governory type forms have come here. I am VERY tempted to send them back to the county council and point out he has not set foot in this house since Jan 2005 and has in fact lived in 2 properties since then. I think this might be some way of getting round the CRB check.

Haven't had any tea yet and even the cat's being silly.

Hope you are OK, RAS, and my thanks as always for your help with this.

P.S And you've got all the silly shenanigans from the other week, where I had a threatening letter and a barrage of phone calls about the missing £1!

On this, send the whole envelope back to the City Council, and write "does not live at this address. Removed January 25 2005." it is important that you are not complicit in any shenanigans.

legally, you are not entitled to open any mail sent to him at your address and you would be best off returning it to the sender unopened, marked gone away or no longer at this address. The last thing you need is him getting accounts based on him living at your address (home owner remember).

Also someone needs to point out to the head that he is not a teaching assistant!! What are they on at?

The first set of governor forms (received yesterday) sort of fell open all by themselves. The great massive pile of paperwork that arrived today, was opened by my younger son who thought it was a parcel!

I will send it back to the County but thought adding his newer addresses might show how generally unstable his life is....

    Nothing until May 2006 then?

You have no idea what I would do; but then I did give the tax man one of the other bank account numbers my father operate in addition to the one that he declared to them . I was sorting out some allowances for my mother, which they would not pay until they were sure he had not already claimed them and they could not trace his tax affairs. I was so fed up with him paying virtually nothing for our keep (£52 per year, always at least two years in arrears when he earned £1000 some weeks).

But you have to live "with" him for the next 15 years, so I would be firm but tactful. He must not use your address for his stuff

Since the younger one opened the parcel, I would pack it up with a note inside, saying that the child opened it in error and that ex has not lived here since January 2005, when you returned from the refuge. He lived in xxx town for a while but you believe that he now lives with his mother at XXX as he takes the children there for access visits.

And get someone else to tell the Chair of Governors that he is not a teaching assistant
