£158.00 29th September 2000 (the day my oldest son was born, seems strange typing it for a different reason!)

It is possible. I think that was the original loan with HSBC where the ex's car loan and a small-ish overdraft were lumped together. I think I would have chosen to have insurance if they'd offered.

The ex crashed his car in November 1998. He then took out a loan for a replacement car but we had to get the loan in my name as he was unemployed (what a surprise). So that loan was probably December 1998.

I can't remember when the car loan and overdraft were taken on/over by HSBC. Between June 1999 and June 2000? Late 1999?
